There were pipes, little glass doors, and huge ice box like doors in these rooms. John was busy so I didn't pester him with the question.
Was deciding whether to divert onto the trails at China Camp rather than stick to the road. There was a breezy headwind, so I opted for the dirt. Turned out a bit muddier than anticipated, but rode for a bit with a nice guy on an '03 Otis Guy singlespeed with a Sycip fork. Really a nice rig.

My dad used to refer to Isham Street as "Easy Street"...from the Charlie Chaplin film of the same title. In the 1940s it was a hard Irish neighborhood where the priests could duke as well as the barflies.
