At the head of North Bentinck Arm British Columbia is the town of Bella Coola. There is some floating homes around the area and judging by the firewood on the deck this one appears to be getting ready for winter. The burned pilings belonged to the BC Packers building known as the Old Cannery. The building was consumed by a fire which was deliberately set in June of 2019.

Shot from the driver's seat of our car while stopped at the light. The dog in the side car is real (a living creature), the teddy bear is . . . just a teddy bear. I first posted the shot in color, but monochrome just seems to work better here. [DSC03732_lr_2000]

After a steep but relatively short hike one reaches the mostly level stretch of the Misery Trail on the top of the Rock. Much more to see from up here.

The spectrum of colors we enjoy in Nature can be infinite. The hues, the depth and the richness in the combinations we witness don’t go unnoticed.
