At the head of North Bentinck Arm British Columbia is the town of Bella Coola. There is some floating homes around the area and judging by the firewood on the deck this one appears to be getting ready for winter. The burned pilings belonged to the BC Packers building known as the Old Cannery. The building was consumed by a fire which was deliberately set in June of 2019.

Stood among the conifers, juggling position and exposure to ensure I didn't blow out parts of the tree I was shielding the lens behind, this was a tricky but satisfying shot. Sometimes when I shoot sun rays I am in awe and its easy to forget to take the shot :)
