Jesus Walks on Water
After feeding the five thousand, Jesus sends his disciples ahead of him in a boat to cross the Sea of Galilee. Several hours later in the night, the disciples encounter a storm. Jesus comes to them, walking on the water. This terrifies the disciples and they think they are seeing a ghost. Jesus tells them in verse 27, "Take courage! It is I. Don't be afraid."
Peter replies, "Lord, if it's you, tell me to come to you on the water." So Jesus invites Peter to come. Peter gets out of the boat and begins walking on the water toward Jesus. But when Peter takes his eyes off Jesus and sees the wind and waves, he begins to sink. Peter cries out to the Lord and Jesus immediately reaches out his hand and catches Peter. As they climb into the boat together, the storm ceases. Then the disciples worship Jesus, saying, "Truly you are the Son of God."

Esther Tallbott*, the lone IMB Journeyman on the island of Samar in the Philippines, and her Filipino ministry partner Charity Malinao, visit with Christians Nelly Lobina and her family in the village of Agsam. Lobina and her husband, Marcos, face persecution and rejection from the community because they have stopped attending the village's Roman Catholic worship. Other villagers have stolen most of their crops so that Lobina still br-feeds their daughter, Ruby, when she is five years old.

A school we visited with @larynex @bobzeella in eastern Samar on a separate island called Maliwaliw. They donated a bag containing money, medicine, food, water purification tablets, time, and love to this school...Kids were learning English so we jumped in and read the board along with them... Not long after my mom passed away,
My youngest grandchild began to say.
Can we go visit grandma five?
(Even though her last name was really Fye) .
How to tell a baby she’s no longer alive.
I began to explain, I had to at least try,
To tell her with ease, so she wouldn’t say why.
She’s in a place called heaven, way up in the sky,
Dancing with angels, and learning to fly.
She looks at me with those lil brown eyes.
Can we visit her there she sweetly says.
Not just yet, but we will in awhile,
Then on her lips I see a smile.
Without warning, from her mouth it pours,
How do we get in, does heaven have doors? !

Paradise in the middle
of a deep blue ocean
Bordered by beautiful
golden sandy beaches
Rows of coconut trees
sway on the coastline
Swing gently to the rhythm
of refreshing breezes
Cascades of water pouring
from central hills
Splashing in between rocks
into flowing streams
Slowly fluxing through
evergreen valleys
Silently meandering towards
a pearly ocean
Beautiful breathtaking
distant scenes
Visions through thin
misty curtains
Perfectly manicured
vast tea plantations
Eye catching green carpets
on high hills
Gardens dressed in
elegant flowers
Bloom in diverse
attractive colours
Jasmine, Chrysanthemum
Gardenia and Rose
Irresistible fragrances and
exquisite flavours
Adventurous evergreen
tropical rain forests
Free animal lives in
wildlife sanctuaries
Cultivated paddy fields
symbol of prosperity
Wonderful Island of paradise
a place of serenity

I read into every word, every space,
every period, every syllable
the pauses in our speech are oceans apart
and I'm just a buoy,
barely boyant in a sea of sound
Can I keep afloat or will I slowly begin to
drown?
Moving without hesitation to the ocean floor
I wonder if it's worth it
to kick my legs to the surface
and break all the tension surrounding my body
I'd give anything to leave it all behind.
It's a broken arm that ceases to heal.
Locked in place, locked in mind-
so unnecessary.
