On the cliff of the American Falls is one of three waterfalls that together are known as Niagara Falls on the Niagara River along the Canada-U.S. border. Unlike the much larger Horseshoe Falls, of which two-thirds of the falls is located in Ontario, Canada and one-third in New York State, United States, the American Falls is completely within the U.S. state of New York.

Independence Hall is where both the United States Declaration of Independence and the United States Constitution were debated and adopted. It is now the centerpiece of Independence National Historical Park in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
The building was completed in 1753 as the colonial legislature (later Pennsylvania State House) for the Province of Pennsylvania. It became the principal meeting place of the Second Continental Congress from 1775 to 1783 and was the site of the Constitutional Convention in the summer of 1787. The building is part of Independence National Historical Park and is listed as a World Heritage Site.

Taken from the ferry travelling from Airlie Beach to Hamilton Island. One minute the view was a mix of blue and white with streaks of sun... the next, a moody vista like this. Spectacular.!!

It’s well worth the mile out and back especially when you encounter a rather windy day. Breakwater is so special in that you can capture remarkably choppy water on one side of the breaker and serene water on the other side. I am such a fan of the cold, northern New England sea with its rich, bold, dark and deep blue-greens.
