Waving ears of corn, still wet with dew, sway in the morning sun.

I will always love October, but this year I'm having a love affair with November. The light and the falling, blowing leaves and that November smell and the knowledge that this will soon all be gone and I need to hold onto it are all inspiring me.
Fall colors and bokeh? I don't know if they are cliche to everyone, but they are starting to look that way in my stream. Sometimes I think I should just put the camera down the rest of the year.

Ciao a tutti!

A field of wheat, the sun on the horizon, a poppy that grows tall and proud between the ears of corn still green ...
A wonderful picture, right?
It was a bit that I wanted to do a shot like this and this evening, before dinner, I went for a walk in the countryside in search of the right inspiration :)
See you !

Amid a Wheat Fied - In un campo di Frumento
Much Better Viewed LARGE On Black
A Wheat-Field Fantasy
As I sat on a Kansas hilltop,
While, far away from my,
Rippled the lights and shadows
Dancing across acres of wheat,
The sound of the grain as it murmured
Wrought a wonder with me.
It turned from the voice of the Prairie
Into the roar of the sea.
And I saw not the running wind-waves,
But an ocean that washed below
In ridging and crumbling breakers
And ceaseless motion and flow;
Then, as a valley is flooded
With opaline mists at morn
Which momently flow asunder
And leave green spaces of corn
There burst.the strangest vision
Up from that'ancient sea.
'Twas not the pearl-white Venus
Anadyomene,
Twas the bobbing ears of horses
And a head with a great hat crowned
And a binder that burst upon me i
Sudden, as from the ground
And the waves gave place to the wheatlands
Myriad-touched 'with gold__
Then my soul felt century-weary
And untold aeons old;
For a rock-ledge sloped beside me
And the lime-traced shells it bore
Had plied that ancient ocean
Each with a sentient oar.

This courthouse was built in 1936 by Joseph W Radotinsky. I wasn't able to get a decent shot of the actual courthouse. I love these small details
Lately I've been finding the corn cobs missing from the corn feeder. I caught this little guy chewing through the cob and running off with the ear of corn.
"Corn Tower in Rochester MN" by Patti Deters.
This ear of corn tower is all that is left from the Reid, Murdoch, and Co. food cannery, which opened in 1929. In 1948, the cannery was purchased by Libby Foods, and then by Seneca Foods in 1982 which finally closed the plant in 2018. The tall tower resembles a husked ear of corn, aka corn on the cob, and stands near Graham Park in the city of Rochester, Minnesota. It was originally built to represent one of the two main vegetables processed in this industrial area. It's actually a water tower which provided water for the canning operations. In 2019, Olmsted County purchased the property and demolished the factory canning buildings, but the historic water tower remains as an agricultural Americana photo op. If you like this outdoor travel photograph, please see more urban and architecture images at patti-deters.pixels.com/featured/corn-tower-in-rochester-....

Parmesan & Parsley Coated Corn on the Cob

Wishing you a bountiful Thanksgiving filled with love, laughter, and corniness!
This exaggeration postcard dates to the 1900s or 1910s. It’s a pre-digital photomontage that humorously combines a picture of a girl standing in bright sunlight with an enlargement of a photo of an ear of corn.
The photo of the corn was cut precisely and placed carefully to match the position of the girl’s hand. The photographer drew shadows underneath the corn and the girl to make the scene seem more realistic.
This is a divided-back real photo postcard with an Azo stamp box design (four corner triangles pointing up) on the other side. This type of stamp box indicates that the photo may date to sometime between 1907 and 1918.
The back is otherwise blank with no message, name, address, stamp, or postmark. I haven’t been able to identify the photographer.
This sweet corn will be used in a nice, refreshing salad for our dinner this evening. Temperatures are in the 90s and I would like to go with a light meal tonight

'(Lord,) You care for the land and water it; you enrich it abundantly. The streams of God are filled with water to provide the people with grain, for so you have ordained it. You drench its furrows and level its ridges; you soften it with showers and bless its crops.' The Bible, Pslams 65:9+10

"Du(, Gott,) sorgst für das Land, du machst es reich und fruchtbar: So lässt du das Korn für die Menschen wachsen. Gott, deine Bäche sind immer voll Wasser; du feuchtest die Furchen und ebnest die Schollen, du tränkst die Felder mit Regengüssen und segnest, was auf ihnen wächst." Die Bibel, Psalm 65,10+11
