The EA-18G Growler is the replacement for the EA-6B Prowler, and is a modified F/A-18F Super Hornet. Although the type had already flown operationally from Italy early in 2011 during the Libyan crisis, VAQ-141 were making the types first carrier deployment with CVW-8 onboard the George H W Bush.
