Revelation 11:3 “I will empower my two witnesses, and they will prophesy for 1,260 days, dressed in sackcloth.”
This sculpture by the artist Stephen Broadbent spans the River Witham in city of Lincoln, England. Its form evokes turbine blades and celebrates Lincoln's industrial heritage: the company Alstom (which sponsored the sculpture) manufactures gas turbines in the city. As the turbine blades transfer power between them, so these human figures empower one another. Completed in 2002, Empowerment marks the start of the new millenium.
Environmental awareness mural by Carly Ealey aka @carlyealey and Christopher Konecki aka @konecki_art for @keyconservation, seen at 533 13th Street East in the East Village area of San Diego, California.
The artists state: "Our mural features the world’s fastest animal and San Diego local, the Peregrine falcon. Once on the brink of extinction, now thriving is proof of successful conservation efforts. The rare and critically endangered Torrey pine is endemic to SD county and needs that same attention."

Straight from the camera, light painting photography. I used Led Lenser M7RX for the bigger spark and also lighten up the water. Thanks to Herramientas LightPainting for the great light palette tool!
I almost forgot these! A couple more of Stephen Broadbent's "Empowerment", on the river Witham, in Lincoln.
This impressive 17m tall sculptured arch over River Witham in the centre of Lincoln was errected to celebrate the Millennium. Designed specifically for The City of Lincoln by Stephen Broadbent it is a reflection of the rich engineering heritage of the City. The sculpture, funded by private sponsorship, was installed in January 2002. The shot was taken shortly after it was errected.
Britni joined us at a Dressed to Kill/Thrill shoot in downtown Nampa recently. My camera definitely approved of this. Britni is a blast to shoot with and at this shoot she looked absolutely stunning. As always, I can't wait to shoot with her again! I took these photos at the end of July 2020 while social distancing.
I had a chance to shoot with the lovely Rachel at a small group shoot near the Nampa Library - a nice area to shoot. This was my first time working with Rachel but she looked so familiar - it bugged me during the whole shoot. On the way home it came to me - she reminded me of Madam X, a subject painted by John Singer Sargent, my favorite artist. Very close resemblance. Back to the shoot - we had a blast - great chemistry. Rachel is quite stunning and very intelligent too - she is busy studying to be an RN. The only negative about the shoot was the wind - it was constant and strong - so we had a lot of maverick hair to deal with. Hopefully the wind won't be a factor at the next shoot!
I took these photos in July 2020 in Nampa, Idaho.

a major reworking of an older piece of mine (have learned so many different techniques since i first created it). this one is about finding your own path through life, regardless of societal pressure. i chose to use a black woman as the focus because of the pressure on women and the way that black people are still so stereotyped. both groups are also dismissed too often by those in power. society here is represented by the smug group in back, who i imagine are condescendingly talking about her, while at the same time stealing from one another (look closely, you'll see). the woman may be silenced in their group, but she is reveling in her own inner life and is undaunted..
