Ok so this is my first attempt at doing an HDR photo. I just discovered that my camera has AEB..and i didn't know that i could use that to my advantage. i always thought, well if it doesnt shoot in RAW then i'm screwed.

i took 3 photos, i'm pretty sure at -1, 0, and +1. merged them in CS3, messed with the exposure type stuff and added some curves and levels adjustment layers. a teeny bit of dodging and burning, and voila.

So this photo was one of my favorites besides Horizon 1. I like how the lines of the rocking chair play off the lines of the windows. Dynamic balance is a more interesting way to balance a photo over symmetrical balance. The larger proportion (the window) is offset by the smaller object (the chair). An interesting concept over what I thought photography was (i.e. putting the object in the center and pressing the clicking "thingy").

The position of the shadow provides balance, but there's tension with the intersection of lines.

Dynamic composition is achieved here because of the way the two pencils make a sharp point at the end and lines are connected. Some elements that make this image dynamic is: shape the way the two pencils form a kind of unfinished triangle, lines of course the way the lines are not parallel but connected, and position of the items. In this picture i would say the point of interest is the flower smack in the middle or the hand sanitizer at the top because of the fact that the two pencils kind of act as an arrow that leads your eye up.

I decided to edit this shot for experience in photoshop. Painted in a light and dark curves adjustment layer. Added some Airbrushing, don't like to airbrush, but may as well try. Mostly only at 5% except some areas at 20%.
