What this image looses is that this was not a static display. There was something fizzy in the bottom that caused it to bubble and ungulate. It was probably my favorite piece.
12:53 P.M. WB Sun. I really like the lighting of this picture. I also think the lines in the frame helps me to see dynamic tension. There are horizontal lines on the steps, diagonal lines from the rail and side of the stairs, and "natural" vertical line provided by the position of the brick wall.
Clouds moving through Haleakalā Crater, Haleakalā National Park, Maui, Hawai`i. Beautiful day for a hike. The clouds became fog as they swept up the slopes, bringing mist and, at times, drizzle.
The `ahinahina (Haleakalā Silversword) along with all the other plants in this often arid setting, benefitted from the hydration, I expect.
