A 4:30 AM friend, that will be truly missed, never to lay by my side again.
Always the first out the door at 4:30, Dunkin, our Golden Retriever passed away yesterday to the stars that he helped me photograph so many times. This is the last image that my faithful friend and I stood together, photographing the heavens, not knowing it soon would be is home.

We love dunking our donuts in coffee in bed! :-) HMM :-)
Macro Monday challenge = Ceramic. The ceramic coffee cup is 15mm across from side of cup to the end of handle. The mouse and fox are each 60mm high. The entire in-focus focal points are under 3 inches high and wide.

The second lockdown in the Netherlands. It's 10h22 on the last day of the year. No tourists and all non-essential shops are closed. Even Dunkin'Donuts and Burger King are closed here.

I believe I have achieved the Holy Grail of street photography here: one shot that says everything there is to say about a place and a time.
An unexpected treasure along US-1 just north of West Palm Peach is this fairly unique Dunkin' Donuts. Built in 1962, the "restaurant" moniker hearkens back to when Dunkin' Donuts was counter-service centric. Sadly, the service ended several years back as this location has adhered to the chain.
That same, functioning, vintage neon sign is the last one of its kind in the world.
As of May 2021, the sign was removed as it was sold to unknown buyer.
The Caldor Rainbow saw one of the other final ones of its kind in Brighton, Massachusetts, which was sadly retired in March 2008.
