chilled one with dunks, just as it was getting dark we saw this bank to wall ride over the flower bed, never shot in the dark before so this was a first but turned out all right in the end. one canon speed light 540 ez to my right back lighting him and then the same to my lift lighting him and the wall, both on 35mm at 1/1.
I have been a supervisor for the last few years as we've taken students on a trip to explore the Underground Railroad.. We visit a variety of sites and museums--there are shots on my stream from other years. We also try and find a few spots where physical activity is possible. At one of the museums there is an outdoor bball court. It has adjustable height rims. One of the rims was locked in a lower position which allowed these boys to dunk. Perhaps not with success every time, but if it were too easy, it wouldn't be fun.

I wanted to capture my buddy in mid air trying to dunk. I had two flashes set up and got everything ready to go -- but then I realized I had no batteries for the second flash. I tried using one flash but it looked horrible. When the sun started to set and the sky turned blue, I decided to try silhouettes.
It was meant to be a fool-proof way to keep my head in optimum condition - a daily dunk in a concentrated weak lemon drink solution to keep all my juices flowing splendidly and my brain properly lubricated.
What I didn't count on was the insertion process into the only vessel available that could accommodate my head. It took several hours and 14 medics to squeeze me in, and frankly, right now, I'm not sure I want to be extracted.
