It's always hard to say what kind of season the Redbird's will have but if the dunk contest was any indication we could be in for some acrobatics! A bunch of amazing dunks including this one.
We tried all sorts of different poses and camera techniques yesterday, and it would be wrong of me not to post at least one of these. I don't know how Ian got up this high.

Taken last year with my old kit, on of my first off camera flash outings.
Whiling away a sunday afternoon i wanted to experiment with stopping high speed stuff with the flash rather than the shutter. I wanted to do something with water splashes but not the run of the mill stuff.
The setup for this was pretty simple, in a very dark room the cup was on a long white table, with one remotely triggered Jessops 360 flash setup camera left, the flash was about 2feet away, 2 feet up from the cup and set to 1/16th power - the lowest this flash goes, so that the burst of light was a short as possible.

i set the exposure off then dropped the cookie, triggered the flash (hopefully on time) then the exposer finished. I checked the results then reset and tried again until i got this/i ate all the biscuits.
