Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve

I wish all my friends a very happy and healthy new year.

White Dunes of Mui Ne, Vietnam

A humanmade sand dune along the shoreline with mountain mining in the background.

The Great Salt Lake - GPS is not the exact spot of the photo.

The sun was almost behind the San Andres mountains and the dunes had a nice yellow glow from a combination of the soft light and gypsum sand in the air.

This is at an oasis which was once a luxury resort but the locals now use the area as a day out to go dune buggy racing or to sail out on the oasis

The dunes of Julianadorp on a rare cloudy day. The area is suffering from a lack of substantial rainfalls for a couple of weeks. Green is rare, brown is the dominant colours. Julianadorp, Noord Holland, The Netherlands

A wild time we had there weather wise on this day, and made for some nice colors there with the wet sand in southern Utah.

The late afternoon wind has created ripples and waves in the sand leading to the large peaks shadowed from the setting sun in the Great Sand Dunes National Park, Colorado.

This was taken at the bottom of one of the windblown sand dunes at Tamala Park. Its a really quiet peaceful spot where you can be alone in nature. I loved the subtle patterns the new san made as it slipped down the face of the dune. The colours on this bright day were outstanding.
