The opposite exercise of my modernized space sets: here is a small vehicle built only with the parts available in 1983. Quite happy with the style, which fits quite well I think with the space sets of that year - but the "dump truck" side evokes maybe too much the corresponding Town sets from this era ^^
Morrisons, St Helens, Baxter's Lane.
Fly tipping is a big problem everywhere
But what's the harm in dumping stuff on an old disused railway line?
Part of what we do, is to report waste materials to The Council, or in this case Network Rail, in the hope that it is collected before the little darlings set fire to it.
At this time of year, the embankments can be very dry and fire can spread
Just behind me, a tyre company has a pile of tyres leaning against the fencing at the top of the bank
A small job can very quickly turn into something much bigger

More and more Councils are charging for people to place items into recycling centres / tips. We will see more dumping and property being abandoned on the street. I'm sure there's nothing wrong with the plug but even that has been left - disposable Britain ...
I just liked the way the washing machine had been neatly placed between the two pillars ... Almost as if the dumper had a conscience ...
This is the site of Edwards Bridge at the end of Pertobe Road. I guess this shot could have been included in sites dedicated to bridges - but there's an acute lack of bridge!
The old one has been (obviously) removed and a new one is under construction.

Young woman living in the hell of the garbage dump in Managua - La Chureca. She is begging for money, food or... just some help.
Dumped pretty mint green ballerina shoes amongst some other rubbish next to a power box in Farringdon, London
I'm currently in the process of redesigning the Holy Nation Missionary. This sketch dump shows the design evolution over the past few months, more recent and up-to-date designs are further to the right.
This is a character design for Damnsol, an upcoming comic series written by Ian King and illustrated by Justin Pyne.
Every once in a while, I like to get back to my "roots" as far as photography goes.
I've always been fascinated by the long exposure, and B&W shots that a number of my flickr contacts almost exclusively post. They're definitely my inspiration, and I wish I had more subjects like this to shoot.
Diecast toy dump trucks by Daxiang, all marked 'A3 Made in China' on the base. Probably based on a Caterpillar 777D. Although I have no packaging with these, I understand the otherwise unmarked one was sold under the Teamsterz brand, the others have white printing, one with 'HTI' and a UK address, and the other has 'Tesco Stores Ltd'.
In addition I have what seems to be a copy of this by another Chinese maker: www.flickr.com/photos/adrianz-toyz/54695745295
With the main "arteries" of the Hunter Valley coalroads closed due to a shutdown and track work, the emptiness was fulled by classic ALCO's in the form of QUBE's 8030 and Cootes 8049 on 6M22N ballast train at Lochnivar
Happy Truck Thursday! I found these 2 camper trucks, with ample air conditioning, deposited at the Orange county Landfill (dump for you not so politically correct viewers). I decided it would be a perfect spot for older more traditional camping too. So I hope you enjoy my little composition.
