A beautiful male lion, his bride laying nearby, is enjoying his mating ritual. Lions mate up to 10 times a day, with each session lasting less than a minute. This continues for 2-3 days. Oh, and there is alot of licking. :-)

Four lionesses of 6 are visible with my gypsy feet in the foreground. This should give you some idea of how close we were to the animals. They really don't seem to be bothered by us, but it is the wild. We're instructed not to stand in the vehicle, as the animals see the entire vehicle as 1 object.
