Bus was here for driver changeover on the 298. The location is mostly lit by yellow sodium street lights, hence the odd look (although the one behind the bus wasn't one of those, and the white reflection at the front was a light from the adjacent property).

These are my gloves for spending time in the snow. Very satisfied with them and they really keep me warm and dry as you can see here...

I've been training since August to run the PF Changs 1/2 Marathon in Phoenix (this Sunday!). Doing most of my runs here in Strawberry AZ (6000 foot elevation) has meant donning something more than shorts and a t-shirt in December.
Yes, Virginia, there is winter weather in Arizona.
I had a few runs below 40 degrees, but nothing like the Frosticles stuff those Crazy Canadians deal with. I've not been out in an "minus" temps. Crazy!
So at its coldest, I run in a long sleeve polypro top, over a lycra type shirt, and these lightweight Nike pants, a wool hat, and gloves. Its not much, but when I am running, the moving parts stay warm.

One of the benefits of working from a home office is that you can usually arrange your schedule to take breaks during the day (after all a BlackBerry takes up very little space in your pocket). The sun is almost out and the temperature is almost zero, so I'm off to snowshoe for a while! These are my snowshoeing boots. Warm? Yes! Waterproof? Yes! Fashionable? Not so much!

This was one of many ups and downs of the coat and scarves I wear.
You can see the failed attempts here
