The Daf 1949 A-1500 Series trucks were replaced by A-1600 truck. It received a new designed cabin in 1959 and a new range of engines. The four-part windshield with a central split was only used in 1959. For the 1960 model cabin the central split disappeared.

The first series had a three horizontal strip front grille, in 1964 reduced to only two strips. Around 1964 the small ventilation openings under the A-pillar were replaced by two small ventilation grilles alongside the cooling grille.

We awoke this morning to fog and mist., so I figured I should be able to find a nice dew covered spider web. I didn't have to search long before finding this specimen for my 365 and today's Daily Shoot:

Spotted on the walk into work this morning. A spider's web covered in dew.

I wasn't really paying enough attention to my camera's settings because I shot this handheld @ f/4 1/45s with my 100mm macro lens. Of course the handheld rule of thumb is to shoot with a shutter speed that is the reciprocal of your focal length, hence I should have shot at ~ 1/100s to minimize the risk of camera shake.

The light this morning was not great and I didn't want to reduce DoF any more by opening the aperture but I should have realised I was at 1/45s and upped the ISO to 200 to get 1/90s.

I may well try again tomorrow and not rush the shot this time and see if I can improve. Maybe the light will be better anyway :)

Beauty is always context dependent. This evening, a cup of ginger tea with a lump of crystallized (candied) ginger in the bottom is truly beautiful.

The moon's supposed to be 94% illuminated tonight, and I had planned on photographing it for today's DS prompt. But while we were outside earlier, AST found Gary (my kids call all snails "Gary", not sure why), MST picked up a wild berry, and CDT exclaimed, "Feed him! Feed him!". It was a beautiful scene, a delight to watch.

Its a ferris wheel from the side if you tilt your head and squint. Wanted something bright and colourful but didn't get away from work during the daylight so had to find something shiny afterward. Took another photo of some kids on a seat and made it super dark, just for fun.

On the Red-dot trail, about 1 mile in. This scene is 6 separate HDR shots stiched together. In Retrospect I think I should have taken another 3 along the top to get more clouds and drop the horizon off center.

Shot for the dailyshoot.com assignment #ds575 "Shoot a second beautiful photo today. Don't overthink, and make it completely different from yesterday's."

This is at a similar location as the previous shot, taken on a different day. Looks like we'll be visiting this place a lot more in the future. English Riding Camp is a big hit, and it's in a lovely scenic location. A hit for daughter AND mother. :)

Today it is sweet Henry, in the late afternoon sunshine, who really is just as sweet and gentle in real life as he looks in pictures.

Two very different dogs, portrayed as best I can.
