The railway security looked prepared to me with stab proof vests, gloves, walkie talkie, pepperspray and handcuffs
You know when girls get really bored and they are all "Wanna see what's in my purse?" and they pour it on the table and sift through tons of random stuff and you are all "I didn't even say yes."? Yeah, well that's what I did, except with my backpack.
It's actually pretty tame, since I've been walking to school.

Each night I check the next day's weather and put out a set of clothes and shoes in preparation. Today I am driving into the edge of the city, parking for free, unpacking my bike from the bike rack and cycling into work. Biking means that it's a pants day, hence the sensible shoes and socks.

For those of you who have been following me since the beginning of the course, I would like to remind you of the story about my infamous white jacket that I got red sauce all over. To get prepared for a day when I'm wearing that jacket I make sure I have a paper towel (for use as a bib) and a tide to go pen with me. My plan is, that by being prepared, my jacket and I will defeat the red sauce!

Preparing for the NEXT snowstorm...!
Four back-to-back snowstorms deposited 2' - 3' of snow on most roofs in this area. There have been over 100 roofs collapse under the weight of this snow, which was made even heavier by the added weight of rain that fell yesterday.
With more snow in the forecast, it was very important to remove this very heavy snow from my Mom's roof.
Good thing my handyman was available, with snow-shoveling crew, to do the job!

There's more to it than this, but a good start. I'm not sold on this photo, but for some reason I couldn't get hurricane season out of my mind for today's prompt.

I found this in a folder from months ago! I only shot about 10 pictures while I was at this race, and I'm happy with how this one turned out considering.

Making lunch. I love peanut butter sandwiches.
Getting ready for a holiday to the Gold Coast, this is my camera bag. So far it has been really comfortable even when full of gear. This photo doesn't show the Sony NEX that will go in the front or the Olympus Ep1 + lenses. It also is still missing the small first aid kit. I made my own webbing clips to keep the tripod from bouncing around too much (Dont get me started on me learning to sew with a machine :P)
This is for @dailyshoot s assignment #ds450 We all prepare for things every day. Illustrate preparedness in a photograph today. I think this really does show preparedness, and i know its not as photogenic as it could be i still think it achieves the assignment.
Am i missing anything? Is there something other people take with them?

This kit is in a desk drawer - bandages, meds, sewing kit. Basic preparation kinds of things.
Now, I am thinking I should have photographed my EEK (Emergency Eating Kit) that I also have in there: almonds, chocolate, crackers, soup, protein bars and coffee!

The sock monkeys remain wakeful by the glow of the pulse-ox while Hannah sleeps, ready to whip out stethoscope or ambu-bag if her breathing falters.
The subject, Katalin, was unaware that I was taking this picture. She prepares for her school work by spending several hours at the library and uses headphones to not disrupt fellow students.

I'm going for a two-fer today with this shot, since yesterday's theme was "Use a window or a door as a frame for your subject today in a photograph." Cheater, cheater, and all that.
This is one of the several classrooms that I call home. We store a lot of the 'stuff' for our program here as the cupboards stretch all the way along the back wall. Our program is very open-ended in nature and every session, we'll have a students ask if we have some particular object or supply. Chances are, it's somewhere in here.
Daimler DS420. Supposedly a joint project to replace the Daimler DS450 and the Vanden Plas Princess, the DS420 ended up designed at Jaguar, built on an extended Jaguar 420G chassis, and powered by a Jaguar XK 4,235cc engine. It was produced from 1968 to 1992

My wife without even knowing the assignment for the day decided to make some bananna bread tonight. I caught her in the act. Granted this image is technically my second pick out of my bunch; but the one I wanted I
cropped off her thumb and it really bothered me. I wanted to reshoot once I saw it but she was far to gone into her process and there was no turning back :).
Have I mentioned how excited my wife is that I have started year 2, NOT. But she still loves and supports me, just not as tolerant as before :)

Had a lot of fun today both catching up with an old friend and taking pictures of her gorgeous rock. I went a lot of ways with this one, trying to find a look I liked, that was both interesting and paid respect to the ring. In the end, as it often is, it was the impromptu setup that won the day.

I'll be honest, picked this photo over ones of nice ready-to-cook steak and potatoes because this photo was taken with my elbow. Groomed finger nails = ready for the new day. Been waiting to use the purple Lightroom filter, looks cool in simple photos.
