DA807 is one of the ex Greater Manchester Standard Atlanteans acquired around this time and pressed straight into service in GM Brown/orange/white. It must have been quite a revelation after the staple diet of Fleetlines, decker-wise that is. She was further transferred to Strathclyde Buses after the devastating Larkfield fire and carried full livery, presumably ending her days there. Also an import is neighbour DR834, a Northern Scottish Fleetline, then a native Fleetline and two native Seddon Pennines showing some of the variations of the black/grey colour scheme. Oh to wind the clock back.......

It was several lunches together, finishing their pastrami sandwiches at Barnes' Deli, that Conrad put out the bet too big to let slide. He was bragging about all of the places he had :"snuck" into, and that there was not a door or window that was no open to him, even without tools.

While they had hung out together a few weeks, and pulled off some low stress cons together, Lori was still wondering what proportion of Condrad was truth and what was hype. It did not matter of she arrived at an accurate figure, but the more she got to know him, the less sure she was-- because he continued to do things she thought impossible.

Ruffling through her purse she said, "Well here is your chanxce to prove it and be useful Cowboy-- I locked myself out of my house."

"Consider yourself in luck then!" he yelled, jumping playfully to his feet like some pathetic cartoon super hero.

Twenty minutes later they stood in front of her house, and he offered, "Pick the door or window you want to enter, humble Conrad the lockless smith is at your service..."

She was tempted to suggest the tiny window above the shower. "Let's do the back bedroom window."

"Your wish is my demand, " he stated grandly with a mock low now. "But you know what predicament that might place us iin."

"You have to get us in that window, first."

Whistling a bit of Allman Brothers (Rambling Man?), they walked ariound back, and up the stairs of the deck. Lori was curious if his hyper level would rise or fall-- these were not strong windows by any means, bur being a careful single woman, she kept it latches, a stick in the frame, and a nail through the frame in a corner.

"Ah, ah ah.." he said, wagging his finger. "Down the stairs and no peeking. A good magician never reveals his tricks."

"You got it Houdini, She headed down and rested, ears open, in one of the plastic patio chairs by the grille.

The whistling continued, she heard rattingling, metal scraping, a few whispered f-words.... and then the unmistakable sound of the window sliding open.

By the time she bounded up the stairs to see, he was already niside, laughing, flat on his back on her bed.

She could not help but smile.

"And no one bit of your traps brokem, he said, pointing to the stick sitting on her dresser.

"You win,: she teased, tossing her hair over her soulder, as she lifted her leg to climb in.

Conrad just patted the bed, and then gave her the "come here" Matrix gestiure.

Lori's vague plan clicked one more notch. "Well, Dr. Slick, if you are going to spend time in my bed, here is the deal- you can only enter through the window, and only if you knock first."

"Easy Peasy. now hurry up and take that dress off."

She stood still. "One more thing, you better watch her big head, and not bring down the shelf over the window. All my precious child hood toys are up there.

He g;lanced up at the shelf. "No problem"

Lori then knew how to do the next bit. It was all about the shelf.

Conrad inwardly smiled,. knowing full well that she was as transparent as saran wrap. While she thought she was baiting a hook, she had already bitten one herself.

Laying together quietly for a momeny, they each savored the mountain view and the stately profiles of the talll pinesm both thinking how lovely their own ideas were.

Jester and Mittens look out wistfully through the front screen door at the garden. They are both inside cats as I don't want them hunting our native Australian birdlife or getting run over. They wear harnesses and get hooked up to long retractable leashes, but as Jester has been peeing too liberally inside, probably as a result of meeting a tomcat outside, outside play has been curtailed recently.

In case you're disoriented, the frame window is following the staircase (45 degrees)

This is the window I look out of when I get out of the shower or stand up from the toilet or finish brushing my teeth.

"Shouldn't you shut the blinds? People could look in..." asks my inner dialogue. "Shh, you'll ruin the natural lighting," I reply to myself.

For this image I made a viewfinder graphic and printed it onto a transparency sheet. I held the transparency in front of a painting and took the shot. It is my interpretation of a window. The painting is by Bryce Hammond.

OK, OK, so it's not a doorway or window but how about a tree frame?

And to be clear I straightened and cropped the hell out of this one to make it passable in my mind.

I had trouble with today's dailyshoot, even though i got a ton of good unrelated shots as a result of getting out there and looking for a shot. I really have to stick with dailyshoot this time, the amount it gives me far outweighs the perceived "hassle."

Tuesday is not a good day to be me. Got out of work late, didn't feel up to much adventuring. High contrast, vignetting & added exposure gradients to the left and right to darken the photo further, painted exposure on the faces to bring out detail and make them look evil. Kinda interesting, not awful.

This is a first for me - I got my shot without having to get out of bed! My husband thought I was still sleeping, so he opened the curtains just enough to be able to get out to the balcony to enjoy his coffee and Kindle.

I walk by this at work all the time and wonder "What's he building in there?" With the slight glimpse of color around the edges of the paper I was hoping to get some sort of interesting picture.

I'm pretty happy with the end result, although I would like to peel back a bit more paper around each edge to let a little more blue bleed through.

In this case, I actually think that the "frame" in my picture is a lot more interesting than the subject itself. This is my favorite part of campus, though (the entrance coming from Sunken Ave), so I wanted it to make an appearance.

Taken late at night looking out the peep hole in my apartment door. Kinda creepy lighting.
