Daily Shoot - Make a photo of a hallway or passage and post it today.
I was disappointed when I read the prompt for today's Daily Shoot challenge because my hallways aren't very interesting. You can imagine how delighted I was to look out my dining room window into my yard and see my shot! All of the shrubs in my garden are buried under several feet of snow, but there's a network of little passageways under the snow, that lead from den to den tucked away under those bushes. I caught this squirrel as he popped his head out of his passageway, looked around and then re-entered. They're not great photos as they were taken quickly through my window, but there you have it - an under'ground' passageway :-)
I made an extension block to re-position the Felder swing-away bracket attachment point about 50mm away from the side of the Profil 45 chassis. This spacer block provides the necessary room for the Aigner fence plates to clear the feeder stand when the shaper hood is rotated up and back to change tooling.

As soon as I saw today's challenge I knew I wanted to take a picture of the fireplace. What better passage is there during this time, but the one Santa uses to deliver Presents to all the good boys and girls.
ONLY 5 Days until Christmas
Enjoy and remember to comment and critique.

"Make a photo of a hallway or passage and post it today."
Since my home is small and doesn't have any real hallways to speak of, I decided to wait until picking up Rob at the airport to get the hallway or passageway shot. Little did I know that his flight would be delayed for five hours, making him one of the last to arrive at DTW for the night. It was very empty.

"...I think that in the West and maybe the world in general, not to be pessimistic, but I think that we are not careful enough with each other. We treat each other like items, like commodities, and we pass people off as unimportant or inferior to ourselves very easily. We walk on people, we disregard their concerns and their feelings and we do it so much that I think we don’t realize it..." ivancampuzano.com/reverse-culture-shock-valuable-lessons-...
That's what I learned almost seven years ago. It was served to me in form of a personality test result (DiSC). "You make people feel like you treated them like they were machines."
And why was that so? My socialization to work environments during previous 15 years culminated in the following: When I worked in a management team for a company considering itself trendy, advanced in quality and aiming at extraordinary results in effectiveness - our CEO crystallized our goal: Our company becomes "A LEAN AND MEAN MACHINE": The business was customer services - people driven, people working with people, people serving people.
That DiSC result was provided during a training course in the beginning of which we were instructed: In order to become a socio-culturally competent employee or a manager, it's not enough that you learn a second culture. You must also learn the third and fourth.
Very recently I asked my mentor: When you spoke about learning the third and fourth culture - did you actually mean identities. The reply was a brief: Yes. My next question after a couple of days was: When we agreed on the connection between (un)learning and identities - did you actually speak about personality types. Again: a brief yes.
Investments in intangible assets become visible with a 15 years 'delay'. I begin to perceive the process. For seven years ago I began to unthink everything I had been taught re. effective way of working. The unthinking has taken seven years. The next seven years make visible what I'll think and do instead. The outcome of the crucial course I participated in 2004 is fully visible during 2019.
This process is being multiplied all the time - in every organization or community we belong to or in some way have a relation with. We chose the exact direction of 2020 by what we began to accomplish in 2004. Choices of 2011 are visible and true in 2027. What do you plan to begin or end in 2011? We are just entering the hallway :)

no possibility to take a shot in a great building of fascinating architecture - just my working place where I'm enjoying light, vista and these photographs of a friend of mine.

Only one hallway in the house, but it has many angles and doors. Carpeting came with the purchase - waiting to get organized enough to put in the hardwood. From there - maybe some color.......always a project in my mind!

They did a good job of salting the sidewalks for the snow we had. Maybe too good of a job.

This is a shot of the stairway I take everyday to the back way into the office. I like the illusion of up v.s. down here. Which way did you see if first?

Walking back from the garage here in town where I have my car serviced, I glimpsed this small plot with its barn and horses in the pasture. Through the camera and the trees it could be today or it could be 100 years ago.
"How did you know my name was Eric?"
I'm not sure if one of the subsequent comeback lines is "I picked him out of thousands," or "I picked him out of frozen's," (with those wacky English accents and old recordings it can sometimes be hard to tell) but I've always like the latter better, because it's even more obtuse. After all, who would keep an halibut as a pet, anyway?

I rode across this on the way to work today. It wasn't as slick as it looked but I was glad to not bust my butt going across it.

It was built in 1924-1929 with French imported materials. We love Paris here, you know.
I was so closely surveyed by a guard while taking this shot that I was convinced I look suspicious with a camera.

Hallways are few and far between today, so just a short one! Naples, FL
Yep, the tree fit through this narrow passage, after a little push in the right direction! This device will wrap the tree in plastic mesh, good for car-topping the tree on the way home. We were a little late getting the tree, as it was on Dec. 20.
