This bee hive is in the tree at the end of my driveway beside the sidewalk. I hope these are just plain honeybees and not the africanized ones. My hubby is all excited about having honey bees in our tree. 3/27/10

I wasn't happy with my shot for Daily Shoot assignment ds132. It called for a sidewalk scene and I took a picture of dead worms. www.flickr.com/photos/krossbow/4468286180/
This is a shot down the street to a neighbor's house. The orange notice is letting them know that the county is not happy with the unkept yard. There is a motorcycle in the tall grass. It's a mystery where they are.
They have been in the house since we moved in over 15 years ago. I have not seen anyone for a few months (November?).

I took a couple different sidewalk pictures but decided on this one for the story. You can see the others here www.flickr.com/photos/krossbow/tags/ds184/

Quick, get the camera. This is too cute! Please notice, it is sprinkling. Do you think these fine young men care? Doubtful! Hoodies up; hoodies down. What would Mom want? Do you think the guy in front is the leader? Bet the exercise was good and gave them a restful sleep, for their active, growing bodies! Did they just come from the playground or from the local grocery store? Do they have penny candy in their pockets? Probably not! I don't think we can buy candy for a penny anymore!!!

The weather this week - our Spring Break week in Oregon - has been beautiful.
Blue skies, temperatures in the 60s and 70s, and no precipitation.
All of that is scheduled to change tomorrow, however.

The girls gathered with some neighborhood friends this afternoon to take advantage of the fading notes of weather niceties. The sidewalk chalk was located and an eruption of color found its way onto the cement in front of our house.
We can look back at this artifact of perfect weather as we cower beneath umbrellas in the days to come.

We've had a lot of rain in the past couple of days and these worms didn't make it back to the lawn before the sidewalk dried.

I had trouble finding a sidewalk where I was today. Instead, I figure a walkway is close enough. Not much action going on in these parts today.

Not too many people seen on the streets of Pine, AZ today, but I did spot a good card if you are playing hearts or maybe need to fill a straight.

Thanks to Stephanie for juggling in the cold with thin socks and the sun in her eyes, giving her a bad case of a hot head and cold feet.

The neighborhood was deserted today. I could see practically nobody that would make an interesting subject of a photograph. Oh, wait, there was this weird guy with a big camera taking pictures of sidewalk patterns, mailboxes, and choppers. You can see him in right in this picture in an olive green jacket

While we didn't have the bikes on the sidewalk, I did take this shot from there. We were quite the sight as we unloaded the bikes from the trailers in Atlanta, in preparation for our departure for the Smokey Mountains, packed them and then reloaded the unwanted items into the trailers to await our return. There was lots of decision-making, pushing, cramming and laughing! No nook or cranny went unused :-)

This photo was taken in downtown Indianapolis. The blue glass structure in the background is the Indy Artsgarden. The facility is available for rental to non-profit, corporate and government organizations, as well as for wedding receptions. Owned and operated by the Arts Council of Indianapolis, this seven-story-tall glass enclosed structure offers a spectacular view of the city.

We took a drive through a few small towns in eastern Ontario. I was struck by how few people were out on the sidewalk. Walking through Maxville, we came across this mural of the town in 1906. (for more information: susanvg2009.blogspot.com/2010/03/mar-2710-sidewalk.html
