Partner I hope you like your scrap happy drunkards path tote front! Would you prefer me to machine quilt it or hand quilt it with perle cotton?

Quilt top done. Now to figure out what in the world to do for a backing.

For baby Chance, my niece's freshly hatched little boy.

Block courtesy of my KBeeC ladies. Their blocks were perfect. My technique in making a perfectly seamed quilt? Not so much. But the end result is lovely.

Thanks ladies!

Close up of fluffed block. It feels so nice to run your fingers over these fluffy bits.

My combo single girl/retro flowers pillow is starting to take shape. Aside from the blurry bottom half of the cell phone pic, what do you think, partner? If you hate it, I'll gladly keep it for myself!

The lower contrast in color, and the random placement of blocks result in a quilt that radiates heat when not photographed at dusk.

I made these blocks using the tutorial here at the blog Needles and Spatula. It was very easy (no pinning required and lots of room for error.) The hardest part was deciding how to arrange the squares. I thought that this arrangment would work well with the wonkiness of the circles and was different from the usual. I loved the result so much that I now have a plan to make an entire quilt of blocks like these using cool-toned shot cottons.

The scraps were sitting next to my machine and since we needed to use all solids I took that as a sign!!

It is nine inches of fun!!;)
