This is one of the ways to create new samples for new tracks!

These are pictures I snagged from an ebay auction way back in 2005. This is the Palmtree Instruments 'Airdrums' that was released in 1988 - a drum machine that you played by waving two MIDI enabled batons in the air. I noticed that there's next to nothing in terms of visual presence of these on the web - and absolutely nothing in terms of audio / video demos. Hopefully Matrixsynth will pick this up and motivate an Airdrum owner to do a Youtube demonstration. Or maybe even a sample set? Hmm?

Analogue tiny programmable (!) beat box from 1983. Quite harmless and high fun factor...

Or "drum-machines"... except unlike the PO-12, the Beatbox doesn't have a "sequencer" function" (instead, a slightly fiddly loop-recorder).

I've found that these two work quite well together - the PO-12 for the main rhythm, and the Beatbox for playing "hits" over the top.
