The background was shot in the courtyard of the Ratshaus in Rothenberg ob der Tauber, Germany, back in 2007. The self portrait of Dr Jekyll was shot in my livingroom this week (before I turned into Mr Hyde).
we had toasted pumpkin seeds, hot cider, jack-o-lanterns and crackheads out front of our house tonight. it was all very neighborhoody and friendly.
As seen in the comic book.
This is sort of a work-in-progress, since I did the set already in december, hoping to do the cover of the Vol I. I've build + shot the images for the wall, but figuring out how to get them look good enought has proven to be next to impossible with my photo editing skills (which are close to zero). So I thought I'd post this part of the image, perhaps I get the whole cover done one day...
When the League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen confront Professor Moriarty in his fortress, they must contend with all manner of foes.
Swigging an entire flask of Dr. Jekyll's formula, Moriarty's lieutenant Dante, is transformed into this monstrosity.
These Lego creations are from the 2003 film, "The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen."
A very special shout out to Lord Allo. His League challenge helped me get off my butt and finish this piece. I've been sitting on this one for a couple of years.

Alter Ego!
I have this other side of me - sometimes he comes around and changes the expression in my face and the way I react...
This is a one shot exposure, for about 2,5 sec. no overlay or anything in ps.
And it sort of reminds me of this upcoming movie called "Youth in Revolt" starring Micael Cera. It looks very funny! oh, and it also reminds me a bit of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde... he he pick one yourself!
Some variants of league members

Dorian Gray (The picture of Dorian Gray)
Mina Murray (Vampiress)
Dr. Jekyll (Mr Hyde)
My favorite adaptation of Mr. Hyde comes from the 2003 film, "The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen." The movie itself is nowhere near as good as the comic series it's based off of. Thankfully it has some incredible production design. Whenever I think of Mr. Hyde, it's this version I picture.
Steve Johnson created the prosthetic effects for Mr. Hyde. His talents can be seen as far back as the original "Fright Night" from the 80's.
Jason Flemyng brilliantly brought the creature to life.
The rest of the League is already made. I'll be posting them soon.
"In each of us, two natures are at war - the good and the evil. All our lives the fight goes on between them, and one of them must conquer. But in our own hands lies the power to choose ... what we want most to be, we are."

Buachaille Etive Mor in Glencoe.
Went up there with high spirits and high hopes, with all the snow and beautiful sunshine on the drive up I expected to get alot of good photos that day.
The reality of it was once I got there I was faced with quite heavy clouds above the mountains. If I had turned around 180deg you'd see blue skies as far as your eye could see but I hadn't traveled all the way up to Glencoe to take photos of the road from which I had came... I came here for this Buachaille Etive Mor.
So in the end I had make the most out of a bad situation and just use the light that was there the best I could.

Underwings are a fierce bunch of moths. They are exaggeratedly sensitive to even the slightest vibration, noise or change in light intensity and show off their colorful or contrasty hindwings in a frantic manner, just to – in the blink of an eye – attach their antennae, fold their wings and transform into a languid lump of scales, completely unimpressible by external disturbance. Of course, I was not as shocked as Dr. Lanyon was in the face of this transformation, but I can't help drawing parallels between these moths and Henry Jekyll and Edward Hyde.
Interestingly, another discrepancy exists: While entomologists gave scientific names related to love, engagement and marriage to the European Catocala species, the north American relatives' names allude to gloom, sorrow and death. Come to think of it, no real discrepancy, eh? 😜

Woopy, my cousin's lovely female dog. She likes to show you her teeth when you "ask" her to do so. Then, when you put your fingers close to her mouth, she starts to lick you! :-)
Woopy, l'adorabile cagnolino di mia cugina. Le piace mostrare i denti e ringhiare quando
le si "comanda" di farlo. Poi se le si avvicinano le mani alla bocca inizia a leccarti! :-)

The image quality is really bad.. it was an unexpected shot and the zoom was in the maximum capacity.. I wouldn't upload it because of the quality but I really liked the shadow effect and the concept...

Another shot of the snowcapped mountain Ben Venue as seen from Loch Venachar in the Trossachs, Scotland.
Taken at Dunure, Scotland - 16/04/2016.
I love Dunure, it's a quaint wee village right on the Ayrshire coastline. It has it's own wee harbor as well as a ruined castle that sits precariously right at the end of a cliff overlooking a coved beach and it's this beach and castle that are usually the subject of my photos there.
However on Saturday I decided to scout the area and went further afield than I usually do. Like most people my photography has progressed over the years since I began shooting with my wee modest Canon EOS400D DSLR, but when it comes to shooting in Dunure I have been unable to progress any further than that beautiful castle and beach.
So on Saturday night I decided to make an exception and break out of my comfort zone and I am now glad that I did. Enjoy.
Slightly different point-of-view from a previous photo I have posted.

White balance was changed from 'Auto' to 'Cloudy' and this was the result.
In this classic nineteenth-century thriller, the respectable and mild-mannered Dr. Jekyll develops a potion that unleashes a loathsome character, the dark and evil Mr. Hyde. The author, Robert Louis Stevenson (1850-1894), was a Scottish novelist, poet, essayist and travel writer whose most famous works are “Treasure Island” (1883), “Kidnapped” (1886), and “Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde” (1886). Stevenson now ranks among the 26 most translated authors in the world.

Just finished reading Robert Louis Stevenson's "Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde" the other night. Took me awhile to get into the olde-timey writing style, but man, what an interesting read.

Apart, they were legends. Together, they were heroes.
Based on the movie, which was based on the graphic novel, which was in turn based on various classic novels.
