Looks as though it's wearing some sort of tribal warpaint on its front. Probably a good thing seeing how Leicester's motorists behave towards buses these days.

This former South Yorkshire, Alexander PS bodied, Volvo B10M is now 23 years old, being new in May 1990. I'm not a fan of First's new livery in any way, as I believe it lacks in imagination and strong identity. However, seeing Leicester's other training bus, 60374, head along Charles Street a few days before, in a condition which looked as though it had just been dredged up from the bottom of the local canal, a smarten up for the training buses was long overdue in order to present the company in a more respectable light.

258 is doing a lot of the driver training test runs to Leith and Newhaven over the extended tramway, which should open in June 2023. Here 258 is seen at Picardy Place at the east end of the city centre and the first of the new stops towards Newhaven. Peeping up behind the tram is St. Mary’s Catholic Cathedral. Newhaven is going to be about 17 minutes by tram from here.

As spring begins to roll itself along, the testing of Class 720 units on the West Anglia line in advance of entry to service as started to increase in volume.

With testing now observed to have commenced with only single units in use (pairs were previously the normal), 720539 starts its journey away from the loop it resided in for excess of an hour working 5G61 12:39 Bishops Stortford Up Loop to London Liverpool Street 10/03/21

DB Cargo 90037 'Spirit of Dagenham' and 90039 are seen pausing at York working 6N70 Doncaster Up Decoy to Tyne Yard infrastructure train. The 90s are being used on this run for driver familiarisation at Doncaster.

A new career.

Currently on loan to First Hampshire and Dorset from First West Of England is driver training Volvo B7RLE WX55TZB, formerly 66940. It had recently been at Weymouth garage, but was seen making its way along The Hard in Portsmouth, before turning into The Hard Interchange on May 24th 2021.
