crossing Pedestrian siganal in centreville wood
centriville, va unired states Monday 27, 2023
For this photography, the weather was better than last time. However, for next time, I would like to find a place with more accessibility to walk and get closer to traffic signals, and get better angles
"The description explains how pedestrian signals work at traffic crossings. Pedestrians typically need to push a button to receive a "WALK" signal, but in the absence of such signals, they must adhere to regular traffic lights. Pedestrian signals display "WALK" or "DON'T WALK" (or symbols of a walking person and a raised hand), guiding pedestrians when it's safe to cross. The "WALK" or walking person signal indicates the legal crossing time, while "DON'T WALK" or the raised hand signals pedestrians to wait. A flashing signal warns pedestrians not to start crossing, as there may not be enough time before vehicle traffic resumes. If flashing begins after crossing has started, pedestrians can finish crossing safely"
