Mt Hood -- I have driven from Gresham to Redmond over Mt Hood about a zillion times - near Government Camp there is a parking area along the roadside. It is the trailhead to Mirror Lake and the Tom Dick and Harry Mountain Overlook. I made the hike. I was a very nice hike and I will go again -- lots of photo opportunities.

I really like the picture -- I am still trying to decide if I like the color or the B&W version. And then there is composition -- I broke all the rules. -- the horizon is in about the middle of the picture -- that was the only way I could get Mirror Lake in there and the clouds which I really liked and wanted more than Mirror Lake. But lake does add to the picture -- Just another reason I am sure that I need -- the need is there for a D800 -- full frame I could and had more of the sky and still found space for Mirror Lake and not broke the rule of thirds --- terribly good reason to buy an new camera ;-)
