On a Drive to Sheep River Alberta to hopefully see some Bighorn Sheep this Rancher was moving his cattle down the highway.

Not something you come across everyday.

Thank you so much for your views, faves and comment.

Greatly appreciated.

Monterey Peninsula, California

In springtime beautiful bluebonnets, the state flower of Texas, can often be found along the main and back roads of Texas Hill Country. The Bluebonnet season usually begins in March and ends in May, although in some years blooms can be spotted along the roadways as early as January.

This photograph was taken along the Willow City Loop, a 13 mile-long private ranch road north of Fredericksburg in Gillespie County. The drive is filled with rolling hills, blossoming meadows, charming creeks, and deep green valleys.

Puddle on the road, reflecting the dawn clouds

After having success with a dusk shot in Potterville, the lights were quickly packed and I hopped back on the highway and raced up to Durand for another shot of the first run across the GTW of the at the time, still clean EJ&E heritage unit. The train would fly through Durand and then stop to work Flint, giving me enough time to gather the lights and drive fast ahead of it again.

As Briton and I were going from one place to another, we spotted this beauty way up in a big tree. Briton swings around and I got out and shot it. Best kind of Drive by shooting I like to hear about. Cooper's Hawk Plymouth Meeting Pa.

EXPLORE Worthy, Challenge 102 - Shades of Autumn (2018 Art)

We are going to be leaving soon to head for one of our favorite places. My daughter-in-law has a beautiful old 1700's house in the hills of Connecticut with lovely Fall drives in every direction. Cannot wait!

HSS everyone!

Zimminyville was est. July 2017. Curfax & Flo had a vision for the land on earth & moon. Winter, Summer & Fall. Be sure to check out the working Drive In, Balloon Ride, Also take a ride in a space pod to the moon. A very photogenic sim.

Autumn went by in a flash it seems...I miss it. Taken through the windshield. There was a smokey haze in the mountains from the wildfires in the States. Delete or a keeper?

Horace has been working overseas for many weeks and a pork of the job was a left hand drive courtesy car.

On his return I asked him to drive us to Crackpot Haven to capture a few images, yet he seemed a bit reluctant as having the steering wheel on the right again made him apprehensive.

After reassuring him that his driving would be okay, off we went, yes he hit the hedge a couple of times but no damage done.

Following a bit of a sunset we made our way back to the car, then Horace’s little face really lit up, there was a note on his windscreen which complemented him on his driving ability, it said ‘Parking Fine’

Thank you for viewing my photos, the comments and banter you leave are much appreciated.

Have a good weekend🍺🍺🍺🍷🍷🍷🐷😂😂😂

Walking along West Cliff Drive on a cloudy day in Santa Cruz, California. Just looking for some photons to capture.

The Yorkshire Dales in April

Driving mountain roads near Queenstown can be challenging, but has its rewards: hese views of lake Hayes were spectacular.

Taken shortly after my move to the Peoria, IL area. Grandview Drive offers some very nice views of the Illinois River. And supposedly Theodore Roosevelt proclaimed it "the world's most beautiful drive" during a 1910 visit. I'm still partial to Highway 1 in California, but this is a very nice drive, especially when fall colors appear.

For Macro Mondays - Plastic

------------------------------------------

These two flash drives, that I call my 'Bling Drives', are filled with Swarovski crystals. The crystals are encased in acrylic plastic. Each drive is 2.75" tall. HMM, everyone ! !

My daily commute to work is a brutal 2.8 miles, but views like this along the way help keep it tolerable. This was on my way home Friday. The little white spots in the green field are great egrets.

Sunset along Skyline Drive in Virginia.

I'm sure most of us have had a similar occurrence. You find a great location, the light is perfect, you're all set up....and some one sees you there, pulls up, leaves the car running and the lights on, jumps out of the car with their cell phone to take a picture. All you can do is make them part of the picture. Beverly Beach looking North toward Otter Rock.

Ocean Drive (and colors)...

Every year our fire department and food bank drive past every house in town to collect canned food.

Last year for some reason, they drove by so fast we couldn't get outside to give them food. This year, they stopped out front and passed food to a food bank van. The Grand-kids loved it!

I was talking to a volunteer and he said they thought this would be the last year the old firetruck would go out. They just can't find parts to keep it running.

As a kid, the Fire Department would come to our school in this very truck and take all the students on a field trip to the fire station. That was 53yrs ago for me.. Happy we got to see it running another year.

Wonderful Wednesday to you.
