“That’s the problem with drinking, I thought, as I poured myself a drink. If something bad happens you drink in an attempt to forget; if something good happens you drink in order to celebrate; and if nothing happens you drink to make something happen.”

A well earned drink after a walk along the Chelmer this morning, Just got back to paper lock mill as the heavens opened
In anticipation of Yorkshire Day, I cracked open the Black Beer. Mixed with lemonade it makes a drink called Sheffield Stout – the sort of thing given to kids while their parents are in the pub. I’d never drunk Sheffield Stout before, although, over the course of years, I’ve sold quite a few of them. There was always a sense of dread if anybody asked for a Sheffield Stout. It didn’t matter if you added the lemonade to the black beer or vice versa the bloody stuff fizzed everywhere. It’s unbelievably sticky and was a sod to clean up after: plus, it was always accompanied by the argument as to why kid's drinks were served in plastic glasses [no glass allowed in the beer garden] and the response to "...and hafl a larger. In a ladies glass!" got the same frosty reply [that fat old hag your'e with is no lady and I'm no wasting a fancy glass on her!]
After some debate on the Secret Leeds forum and on Flickr I bought a bottle of Mathers Black Beer on a recent trip to Leeds.
In an attempt to bring some culture to the Southern savages in the office [actually, a Jamaican, a Kiwi and a few other diverse ethnics] I thought I’d let them sample the stuff.
As my mother would have commented on anything with which she wasn’t impressed, “It were nowt”. I don’t think using cloudy lemonade did it any favours. Next year it’s gonna be pork pie, mushy peas, mint sauce and gravy.
I knew that going into work on Wednesday would end up being one of those days that I wanted to come home to a drink...so I wore them on my feet.
Chicha de jora degustation.
The Inca used chicha for ritual purposes and consumed it in vast quantities during religious festivals.
I help out a charity group here in WNY who dress up as zombies and once a year hold a haunted house to raise money and donated non-perishable food items to donate to WNY food Bank. I help by taking photos for their advertisement and website.
I love to play with light, shadows, and motion -
With in this photo I captured the perfect circle of water as it bounced back out of a pan of water which had been colored with red food coloring..

Taken at MOS Burger, Matsuzaki, Nishi-Izu, Japan.
Chinese hamburger, in Taiwan, we called it Gua-Bao. This Japanese-localized Chinese hamburger was introduced by a Japan hamburger brand, MOS burger. You should notice the bread is not bread, but not rice, either.
The taste was so good. The content of the hamburger is western-style, different from traditional Gua-Bao, which content is Chinese-style. This special hamburger mixes Chinese, Japanese and western food techniques in one small piece. If you plan to go to Japan before the end of June, you should visit MOS burger and try it.
Taken as part of a project to promote against binge drinking.

An other ghetto find from Genova. I bought it from a Senegalese woman. She said I have to soak it in a jug overnight than I can drink the water and it will be good. She didn't know the name of the tree.
