A bolillo is a small loaf of plain white bread, crusty on the outside with a soft interior. It is the type of bread most often used to accompany Mexican meals, and it is an integral part of the everyday food scene in Mexico.
Yup yup! 😊 (I been very busy baking and cooking more pics yet to come, & sweet tooth lovers lots of desserts)
This year has been hugely busy and a bit crazy. I applied for a Product Designer position with LEGO earlier this year and went through their lengthy interview process. They offered me a position soon after and I started work on August 1st.
This is me the day after arriving in Billund, standing next to the Innovation House, where I work everyday now with lots of extraordinary designers. It's been my dream job since I was about 5 years old. I had no idea it would happen so soon, but I'm truly grateful.
Needless to say, I will not be posting anything except some projects I completed in 2019 before starting work with LEGO. They are a handful of custom sets which are not being released yet by the institution for which they were designed. I thank all the individuals and institutions who have had confidence in my skills over the years - enough to hire me for commissions. Many of those builds were challenges that helped me grow my skills as a builder and designer.
Beyond those upcoming postings, I'll be able to share sets I've been on the team to design, once they are released to the public. All I can tell you now is that it's a privilege to be a part of the LEGO family.
I thank everyone in the LEGO community who I've had the chance to meet and build with over the years. It's always been great fun! I also thank all the fans who have shared their enthusiasm for the work I've done. It's been one of my favorite things to chat with those who have stopped by at conventions, and to give you all a chance to check out the playable features in my builds. Being able to play with the stuff I've built has always been the reason for my creations.
Cheers Everyone!
Painted an huge mural in collaboration with Ilse Weisfelt for Triborgh ,Tilburg. 288m2 fresh painted wall to promote the neighborhood 'Jeruzalem'. What a dreamjob!
This was a wonderful seal that we met while we were in Portugal, taken just as it was diving deeper into the water. One thing that visting Zoo Marine taught me was that seals are freakin' huge. And so are dolphins.
Someday I'll hopefully be able to see these animals in the wild

14 years ago today I started my job as a #LEGO Model Builder for the Merlin Entertainments Group division that would later be christened Merlin Magic Making. What followed has provided me with an unforgettable, unique wealth of experiences that has turned into a career I couldn’t have imagined as a baby-faced college grad. My family has supported and grown with me throughout the rollercoaster ride, and I’ve been privileged to create alongside the most talented and wonderful coworkers one could ever dream of. I’m proud of the part I’ve played in producing bespoke LEGO models directly and through the hands of my team members, giving magical memories to our guests at dozens of Merlin attractions including LEGOLAND California Resort, LEGOLAND Florida Resort, LEGOLAND® MALAYSIA RESORT, LEGOLAND® Dubai Resort, LEGOLAND Japan, LEGOLAND Windsor Resort, LEGOLAND® New York Resort, and too many LEGOLAND Discovery Centers to list!
Although my time at LEGOLAND New York is coming to a close much sooner than I anticipated, I am eager to see what I can bring to LEGOLAND Florida when I start my new role next month.

Am I the only one to be invaded by sadness when I see what our society try to sell to us, to our kids?...
Do you remember your first LEGO set? In celebration of #LEGO90YEARS here’s a recreation of when little Ryry received his first #LEGO set for Christmas in 1987. It was “Basic Building Set 317” and it would lay the foundation for a lifelong love of the bricks and a successful professional LEGO career.
This is just one component of a bigger story I am telling in a contest model for my local #legousergroup.

I travelled with some collegues for an inspection on an island in the inner Oslofjord today. It is really hard when the weather is though and sun so hard on the skin.
In this heat we have to drink a lot of water all the time, and eat out lunch outside.....
We were stopped by the police at sea, not for speeding, but a check for using lifewests. Ofcourse we all had our wests on.
If possible they have an even harder job then us.......

Photos with quotes are part of my other job... for which I don't have a proper name... Business beautician ;) it involves e-marketing, development, admin, pa, web-design, accountancy - you name it! It's a small company and I enjoy working there, so much! Anyways - thanks to the amazing person who established the company I was able to start off with photography. I always knew I loved photos and surround myself with beautiful things, loved colours and sharpness combined with bokeh, had an eye for detail. I may also be a 'tech-y' girl... It was Michele who pointed out that all this falls into being a photographer. Wow! what a discovery! I started slowly and after a few years I can say I know quite a bit about photos (and a business, too!). This is my passion and my love. How lucky! :)
Some people don't realise what they love doing. For most of their lives - they struggle with 9-5 work which they don't like... Only a few of us are lucky to know what we want to do for life - either as your hobby OR your proper job! Michele is the one that runs free webinars on the subject Discovering The Work You Were Born To Do. I want to provide a link to this free webinar WHICH IS HERE, for all those who know someone in need - unhappy at work, always looking to Friday, someone with no passions in their life. You can forward the link to them, it costs nothing, yet may help a great deal!
Thanks peeps for likes and follows! xxx
Or at least it was when I was a kid - astronauts and Rambo hadn't been invented then.
These guys drive an old steam tram called "Feueriger Elias" (firey Elias) along the tracks in and around Darmstadt on special occasions - this weekend was such an occasion. The thing stinks and rattles and thunders, but it is always a joy to see and hear and smell.

He was still doing his job as a cameraman but, because of an unforseen event, he also began to start acting.
After the ”Red Hood“ movie, he could have stopped and choose to remain as a cameraman. That was his
dreamjob after all. But, seeing how everyone was complimenting on his acting as red ho
Jeff was introduced to me by Aaron Conklin (the man doing the writing for the Isthmus coverage of Wizard World Comic Con), and I instantly felt a good vibe from him as we shook hands. While Jeff has been doing sketch coloring for the better part of the last seven years, he originally started out with a great passion for drawing comics. He explained to me that he was able to go full time with coloring when he lost his day job, which while it sucked at the time it was a great big door left open for him. Being able to devote his full attention to his true passion really shows in the great detail in his work. A good laugh, a firm handshake, and a good smile made him an easy in for the (608)strangers. I didn't want to keep him from potential visitors at the Con so we snapped a couple quick pictures, and when I shared them with him he was content with whatever photo I decided to pick. I really enjoy when people are not to fickle with their photographs, in my experience with the 100 strangers. I think that this is a main reason I shoot considerably more male strangers then I do females. A new face and a new friend, we parted ways and wished each other all the best for the Con weekend.
