I had an amazing sighting of this gorgeous black wolf on my recent trip to Yellowstone. Every time I have an encounter like this with a wolf it is like my childhood dream coming true. As a child I was a bit obsessed with wolves. I had wolf t-shirts, wolf figurines, and would hang wolf pictures all over my bedroom walls ( along with dolphins and orcas :-). It is amazing to know that I have seen them in the wild and have my very own photos to go with it.
"Dreaming in Mother Nature’s arms about the world we share
And how much we care
Free to be, in peace and harmony, what every nation wants
What we all can dream
Green dream for our planet and all of us who love it..."

Because in a dream, we can imagine everything...maybe somewhere there is you and me....

... dreaming myself away from the winter in the grey cold city and back to this unforgettable day with my beloved gannets on the island Helgoland. All those gorgeous birds around, and beneath seeing my good old friend North sea floating and rushing and sparkling in the sunlight, and I can't wait to turn back next May...
I wonder if you know how many times I've been out of your dreams, waiting for you to let me in.

"I believe in everything until it's disproved. So I believe in fairies, the myths, dragons. It all exists, even if its in your mind. Who's to say that dreams and nightmares aren't as real as the here and now?"
-John Lennon-
In Greek mythology Icarus was the son of the craftsman Daedalus. It was Daedalus who made the wings of feathers and wax that he and Icarus used to attempt to escape Crete. Unfortunately Icarus did not pay attention to Daedalus' warnings about flying too close to the sun. Soon the wax melted and Icarus fell out of the sky to his death.
The lesson in this moral tale is to beware of hubris. As an ancient Hebrew proverb puts it, "Pride goeth before a fall." And Icarus' fall was tragic. But we can forgive Icarus for wanting to soar to the heavens as he had seen the birds do countless times. Don't kill the dream for risk of failure. That dream drove Orville and Wilbur Wright to achieve the once unthinkable - powered human flight.

Like a heartbeat... drives you mad...
In the stillness of remembering what you had...
And what you lost...
And what you had...
And what you lost
Hello Everyone, I hope you are all having an amazing Sunday! It was a busy one for me, doing Christmas stuffs and the "need to be done" chores to prepare for the week. (Anyone want to hire themselves out as a house maid to do laundry and dishes? LOL) Well, once having finished, I came into Second Life and my friend grabbed me and we went over to the new Collab88 sales event, there I found an amazing Snow Globe from Madras. Snow globes always bring happy memories to me of when I was younger and would go over to my grandparents home during the holidays and my Grandfather always placed out all of his holiday snow globes on this round table in the corner of the living room, I loved looking at them, though my siblings and I were never permitted to touch them, my Grandfather would hold them out for us from time to time while he was standing there, shaking them up in his large hands and I became lost in those snowy worlds, just something special about them that fascinated me. So after i purchased the snow globe and other items at Collab88 (is it me, or are prices going up?) came back home with my friend and found out it was modifiable, I gave an oooooo and decided to take a photo of something I always wanted to do, enter in that small world of snowy dreams and thank my Grandfather for sharing something simple and special :)
Have a wonderful Monday tomorrow, being safe wherever you go and thank you for allowing me to share my photo with you all.
XOXO,
Hildda
Why does the eye see a thing more clearly in dreams than the imagination when awake?

Helios 44M-7 at F2. When I ask myself whether or not I dream in colour, I am surprised to discover that I am not sure about the answer. I certainly can dream in colour. But most of the time, if I am not mistaken, the matter of colour is irrelevant. Perhaps dreaming and photography, in my case at least, have this in common. Often, colour is not relevant. Sometimes again, it is. And then I am not sure about it.
And now I tell you openly
You have my heart so don't hurt me
You're what I couldn't find
A totally amazing mind
So understanding and so kind
You're everything to me
Oh my life is changing everyday
In every possible way
And oh my dreams
It's never quite as it seems
'Cause you're a dream to me
Dream to me

“I think we dream so we don’t have to be apart for so long. If we’re in each other’s dreams, we can be together all the time.”

The Canon 100mm Macro Lens shoots like a dream. Here are some of my own tips for creating fantastic bokeh:
- Control depth of field as narrow as possible by setting the lens aperture to maximum, most cases at F/2.8
- Position the subject closer or increase the distance between the subject and the background.
- Shooting in soft and warm light. Backlighting can really bring subjects with fine details to life and intensify the foreground/background bokeh.
- Shooting on the same or lower level as your subject, resulting in more choices of the background.
♥ Thank you very much for your visits, faves, and kind comments ♥
Sometimes dreams are fun and scary at the same time. I always try to put myself into an animals point of view. If things were reversed this is what it would look like.
I took this in a lake at Wye Mills, MD. I use Photoshop to modify this picture just to have something different.
