#dreamcometrue #hobby #firstpictures #raalte #iamhappy
Marriage. It ranks right up there with birth and death as one of the three biggies in life. But it’s the only one that we’ll celebrate with a conscious awareness. Very few of you remember your arrival, and even fewer of you will attend your own funeral. Pick a society, any society: Jewish farmers 100 years ago in Poland, English émigrés to Canada, San Franciscan hipsters ... What’s the one thing they all have in common? Marriage. It’s like a cultural handrail. It links us to the past, and guides us to the future.
This is a note from Marilyn Monroe on display outside of Grauman's Chinese Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard in Hollywood, California. Shot in daylight w/ added sepia tone.
No technical difficulty, no real creativity, no thought behind today's photograph.
But you know what I just want to share the fact that last night, I Tasia Ramejkis met my heros LINKIN PARK!

When my husband's aunt found out we were going on Hajj, she was brimming with stories of her experience and useful tips and words of advice. One of her tips was to take some socks or slippers to wear whilst walking around on the marble floors in the Haram (the floors have an underground cooling system so can get quite cold).
She even gave me these slippers as she said 'the floor could get quite cold which can give you a chill, you need to look after yourself when you are there!'. I thought I'd look rather funny wearing them but no-one really cares! It was so liberating to truly express oneself with no pressures of what to wear and what not to!
Everyone is so focussed on their 'ibaadat' (worship) there and people come from all walks of life, from every corner of the world so somehow, these didn't look out of place!
Going back to (mostly online) school!
I first learned about this field in 1997 when I did an internet search ["googled" wasn't a word yet] for "performing arts" together with "medicine" on a whim, not knowing what I'd find. Performing Arts Medicine immediately piqued my interest, but I had no idea how to get into it. Finally it's here - after 17 years! :)
Graduate Certificate in Performing Arts Medicine at Shenandoah University, Winchester, Virginia
