My first irish lace project ever! I'm pretty happy about the result! It's just me or it has something from the traditional Hungarian embroidery?! @;)
Made of recycled italian cotton, bordered with black knitted i-cord. The front is a wide black tulle shawl which makes this vest very versatile:
-let it just hang for a hippie-like look,
-or be a real "femme fatale" and cover Your hair with it,
-You can use the tulle part to protect Your shoulders from breezy nights,
-and also goth girls are welcome with this piece since it can be used as a veil!
Oh YESSS, I'll continue to learn irish lace technique, even if the netting part was killing me a little bit and I'm new to tiny crochet hooks, but when I was finally ready with this waistcoat I felt a satisfaction I never had before... Oh yes, I'm in LOVE! EX3

Since many of You asked me for making modeled photos... I hope You'll enjoy!
Here I am in my new rainbow crochet top embellished with granny circles and my new crochet parasol made of colorful granny squares with black borders! @;)
The summer top/dress is 100% cotton (yes, the same italian as always).
It was a lot of time that I wanted to create an elastic crochet bust and yesterday night I finally found the way to use the shirring technique on crochet fabric without sewing machine (what I don't have)! I made it sooo tight so I have a push-up effect without wearing special underwear! XD
For this design I was inspired by a fantastic shoe designer: FAIRYSTEPS! She makes fairy shoes and accessories and I feel the happiest fairy princess in the whole world wearing my new Queenies created by this amazing Artist! @;)
Did You see that the sleeves and the back of my top are pointed as my shoes...?! XD
About the crochet umbrella:
Last year I wanted to crochet a "granny-circles-to-hexagons" afghan but I never have enough time to finish it. So what to do with a lot of pre-made colorful circles...? I think I've found the perfect way to use them! @;) It was a bit difficult to create an octagon (the umbrella shape) from squares (what I crocheted from the original hexagon pattern), but at least it's worth every single gray hair I grown in the process!!!

The new rainbow crochet parasol is finally done!!!
I modified a vintage pineapple lace doily pattern and shaped it for a huge umbrella base (120 cm diameter).
The colors are: burgundy, red, orange, yellow, neon green, green, turquoise, blue and violet sewing threads blended together until I arrived to burgundy again.
For installing the project on the umbrella base this time I used some special burgundy-purple crystal cut beads.

For installing the project on the umbrella base this time I used some special burgundy-purple crystal cut beads.
I bought this simple black cardigan with 2 buttons closure in a second hand shop. It's in very good condition but was too boring...
So I crocheted a rainbow net for adding lenght to the bodice and sleeves and created a fairy pricess with rainbow crinoline, colorful butterfly wings, button flower and tulle bouquet, sequin and bead eyes, french braided ponytail and fringe... EX3
I used recycled yarns (mixed wool and quality acrylic).

Rainbow fake dreads from kanekalon fake hair are crocheted and installed by me the night before (I was too excited to sleep, that day was very important for me...). The hat is vintage from my favourite hungarian secondhand shop. Decoration from tulle is made by me as the jewellery with rainbow tulle (YESSS, again!) @;)

Happy first International Yarn Bombing Day to everyone! XD
Here is my second tree project (in 2 months!).
Made of lots of hexagons recycled from a made-to-order-but-never-paid blanket (and now You can understand why I don't accept orders anymore!!!), embellished with glow in the dark yellow crochet embroidery to show better the flowers.
The tree's home is in Rezeda Restaurant's garden, near to Europa Camping, Alsóörs, Hungary ( www.simplecreations.nl/rezeda/ ). I was asked to make something special for them by the owner of the restaurant, Ferenc Németh who is always wearing a strawberry cap and called for this: the Strawberry Man!( www.facebook.com/profile.php?v=wall&ref=nf&id=151... ) Yesss, he is crazy! XD

My wonderful sister's new dreads!
This time mixed technique: crocheted pastel dreadlocks from swimswim's yarn bought in her etsy shop with blonde wool roving dreads (yarn from funkyarns's etsy)! @;)
I've found this wonderful purple cardigan in a second hand shop and I couldn't leave it there even if it's not my size! Yes, I'm a shopalcholic! Hihi! XD
It must be a high percent wool.
I added the rainbow circle shaped spiderwebs (recycled from the crochet tree, made of mixed wool and quality acrylic yarns), a pixie hood of spiderwebs and changed the buttons for the fanciest look! @;)

This is my new cardigan design!!!
The back is an octagonal flower doily (number 8 brings fortune) positioned in star shape (which has an optical slimming effect), pointy edgings and gorgeous mesh sleeves.
Pretty lace weigth, it's like wearing a warm, fluffy red cloud!
You can tie a knot on the front (see pictures), use Your favourite shawl pin (I used my chop stick on photos - NOT INCLUDED), choose a beautiful wide organza ribbon, or just let it hang... Wear it as a scarf... Only Your immagination is the limit!
Made of deep red mixed mohair yarn (55% mohair, 25% wool, 20% viscose).
Mostly my works are about the inner peace and harmony... Well not this one!

These crochet earrings are the first pair from babukatorium's new earring collection: The RainbOWLS!
I created them yesterday night based on Lace Lunatic's fabulous tatted owl earrings design!
They are made of red cotton thread, carefully stiffened for keeping the nice owl shape, lace weight, with silver sequin eyes (reflecting the light from every angle in different colors) sewn on with red glass beads.
They are not identical, but as similar as possible! You know, even if I try to be a machine... Handmade products will never be the same! XD
Size: 6,5 cm (the crocheted part)

I think I've found the perfect way to use them! @;) It was a bit difficult to create an octagon (the umbrella shape) from squares (what I crocheted from the original hexagon pattern), but at least it's worth every single gray hair I grown in the process!!!
Mostly my works are about the inner peace and harmony... Well not this one!
This coat is about the pure energy, the anger, the frustration, the madness that is inside of every mankind, the worst nightmare one can have, the fear, the confusion. It's about the things that many of us don't want to see, don't want to feel (me, myself and I included). I created this coat for exorcise all of my fears and trying to love even this part of me. And because I'm crazy. @;)
I used recycled mixed wool and quality acrylic yarns, made several hexagons of them (and all of them are different), than embroidered with black crochet for let the flowers popping out from the multicolor base. Closed with emerald green knitted i-cord.
Did I mention that the pink, the neon green, the yellow and the multicolor yarns are glowing under uv lamp...?! XD At least You won't have the fear to loose Yourself in a party! Hihi!
Upcycled original "made in Italy" black cotton dress with colorful lace weight crochet doilies in different shapes and motifs (triangle, square, hexagon and octagon), all handmade by me in burgundy, red, orange, neon green, green, teal, turquoise, blue, royal blue and violet.
The violet heart on the bodice is attached with double rainbow buttons, and I sewn by hand the skirt to the dress with invisible stitches.

Now about the dreads:
After the double ender crochet dread extensions I wanted to try a single ender style, so I created simple knitted i-cords in the colours of the rainbow and sewn them at the ends of my natural dreads. In this way I don't have to replace them every 2-3 months, because they won't ruin the roots... And save a lot of time for what I really LOVE: CROCHET!!! XD
This picture was taken in June and I still have the same dreads, just a little bit longer! I think I've finally found the perfect ones this time! EX3
