Peritoneal Carcinomatosis कॅन्सर पोटात कसा पसरतो? | Dr. Chirag Bhirud
अंडाशयाचा कॅन्सर म्हणजे “silent killer” कारण त्याची लक्षणं साधी आणि नॉन-स्पेसिफिक असतात.
पण जेव्हा हा advanced stage मध्ये जातो, तेव्हा पोटात पाणी साचतं ज्याला आपण Ascites म्हणतो.
हे का होतं?
सो हे जे कॅन्सर सेल्स आहेत, ते cytokines release करतात आणि immune suppression निर्माण करतात.
ते पोटातील peritoneum ला invade करतात आणि त्याची absorption capacity पूर्णपणे बंद होते.
कधी कधी नवीन रक्तवाहिन्या (neovascularization) तयार होतात, ज्या porous आणि leaky असतात त्यातून पाणी leak होतं आणि पोटात जमा होतं.
याला आपण म्हणतो Peritoneal Carcinomatosis जे ovarian cancer च्या advanced stage मध्ये होतं.
त्यामुळे हे लक्षात ठेवा लक्षणं दिसताच तपासणी गरजेची आहे, कारण early detection saves lives.
