After a little paint, I got some round beads and jump rings. Threaded the jump rings through the beads and painted them gold. Then just glued to the vanity. And voila! Faux drawers!
Flickr Fridays • Drawer. Rusty and the gang.. White Christmas. Have a Merry Christmas. The old photographer ; )
I wanted to put every pieces of clothing in my closet. As you can see, this drawer serves for underwear and socks. I used carton separators from boxes I bought at Costco (the grey ones on the top shelves) and covered the edges with a nice blue electrical tape. I am officially obsessed with organization. Yes, you can say it!
This is a drawer containing things which I either use only occasionally or not at all.
This drawer contains the more regularly used items. However, that photo was two years ago and things have changed as I have some new cutlery, given to me by my daughter, which is in daily use
When I saw Crackers climb into my open dresser drawer the other day I immediately though tof the old photo of Sam doing the same thing.
This is the bottom drawer of the desk I sit at each day on the computer. Various leads, no longer needed, have been put here. I expect they could all be thrown away.
Doors & windows - The old Mare Island Naval Shipyard has some of the most intriguing you'll find anywhere. I'm posting a couple of my favorites today.
My first matchbox drawer. It was a lot of fun to create. I see more in my future. I blogged about it at vintage-at-heartdesigns.blogspot.com/
Much like the old negatives you find in the back of the dusty drawer, this photo isn't the best. However, given some sliding and some expression, it tells the story of the much-used teakettles sitting on the back burner. Waiting. We spend so much of our lives waiting.

Tekenaar Jan Kruis bekend van o.a.

I write in my diary every day with a fountain pen so I keep a bottle of ink and a pen wiper handy. I also write letters with a different pen. I also have other coloured ink and other pens - but I don't use them much these days

Small drawer units form the backdrop of an eclectic shelf display created by my dear wife. I do buy her flowers, but she likes skulls.
The photo was processed in Photoshop with a 40% reduction in vibrance, individual adjustments made to some colour channels, with haze, grain and a dark vignette added..
Display Drawer I made from solid Teak wood. All the drawers have a glass insert (you can see the grooves to slide it into on the side of the open drawer) to seal the contents from dust etc.
The top is also supposed to have a glass "box" over to protect the contents displayed on the top surface.
These cardboard drawers contain envelopes and other things. My wife used them for the cards she made. There are sheets of stickers there. She bought some sheets with my name on them and some for herself. I've used up all the ones she bought for me, she never got to use up all hers.
