I found this awesome dead tree yesterday while we were on a countryside drive,,,,,,, the moon shot, I did a long time ago,,,,, just having a bit of fun :-)

I hope every one is having a great day,,,,,thanks so much for your visits...

I was out with several other photographers walking around downtown Portland, Oregon. I saw the clouds above these builds and had a feeling it would make a good dramatic black and white photo.

Taken on a rainy day whilst walking the Cape Wrath Trail. Sums up the beauty of the mountains in weather like this. Yes you can get wet but, yes it is worth it.

The castle consists of the real fortress and the adjacent medieval village that develops from it to the southeast. On the opposite side, to the northwest, is the church of Santa Maria della Pietà. Located at about 1460 meters high, it is one of the highest castles in Italy (it is surpassed by the castle of Andraz, located above 1700 meters) and is considered one of the symbols of Abruzzo. The fortress, baricentric between the Campo Imperatore plateau and those below Navelli and Tirino, is inserted in a context of great landscape value and included in the Gran Sasso and Monti della Laga National Park of which it is one of the main tourist destinations.

A silent sentinel of the forest floor.

This otter, caught in a moment of focused intensity, seems to emerge from the undergrowth like a spirit of the wild.

Shot with natural light and treated in a dramatic black and white Leica style to highlight its raw presence and the texture of its fur.

Part of my ongoing "Dramanimalier" series – exploring silent strength and animal presence through monochrome tones.

Bathed in light, this majestic egret stands still, frozen between elegance and solitude. Its feathers glow like porcelain against the velvety backdrop of darkness, sculpted by a beam of natural light.

I aimed to capture not just a bird, but a feeling—silence, poise, and power—all in one moment.

Shot with a 150-600mm telephoto lens, processed in a dramatic black and white to enhance the textures and contrasts, giving full attention to the interplay of light and feather detail.

This image is part of my Dramanimalier series, exploring emotional depth through animal portraits in monochrome.

The light in the Lake District (or any mountain area) can be beautiful both subtle and dramatic. Wish I could spend more time among the big stuff!

I really needed to trim my moustache. It looked like I had Irritable Scowl Syndrome.

First portraits of 2020 were made on January 26, 2020. My 92 year old grandfather, Jewell Still. Love and respect this man very much.

My favorite self portrait. I hope it can evoke as many feelings as possible.

A father and his two boys share a moment in the family barn that's about to be torn down. This barn has been in their family for over 40 years! They have made so many memories together for now three generations to remember and enjoy. I was honored to be able to create these portraits for them as they realized that they were going to miss this old, rustic barn. What an amazing family.

Scanno is a town and comune in the province of L'Aquila, in the Abruzzo region of central Italy.

Scanno is one of the most beautiful villages in Italy.

Situated in the Sagittario Valley and encircled by the Majella mountains Scanno has been immortalised by photographers Henri Cartier-Bresson (1951) and Mario Giacomelli (1957-1959) and, according to Edward Lear, was host to Italy’s most beautiful women (Illustrated excursions in Italy by Lear, Edward, 1846). Local legend has it that Scanno’s natural lake (Lago di Scanno - stocked with pike and perch and Abruzzo’s largest natural basin) was created by a feud between a white witch and a sorcerer; the lake marking the spot where the witch finally fell.

Was it an accident or intentional? Will we ever know?

It's a humorous picture. I borrowed the golf club because golf isn't one of my favorite sports.

To be honest, she wasn't sleeping in the other version...another shot caught in mid blink. haha! She's not such a sleepy baby. Does she look thrilled here or does she look thrilled?

And yes, I totally have photo editing ADHD...I jump around like you wouldn't believe. I still have camping photos from 2 months ago that I need to go back and work on. Ugh! I take more photos than I can keep up with!
