This is the view as I come over Okeford Hill from work. The sun was low over the Blackmore Vale and the Dorset Gap.
I have this version with some added flare (at the top) and some without (in comments). Not sure which I like more. Thoughts?
caught this beautiful sight in my rear view mirror last night when driving back along M62 from Castleford
A walk around the top part of Lathkill Dale, Down the dale as far as the old millpond, then turn left and up the lane until a faint track leads off to the left and climbs up steeply to the top of the bank. This then becomes the high-level path on the north side of the dale, taking you all the way to Ricklow Quarry.
The Hoary Mullein were at their height, and seem to have done especially well this year.
We had very dramatic skies today -- lots of interesting clouds, a rainbow (I missed it), downpours, and sun. I took this shot out of the car window.
The point here was to complain wordlessly about being asked to help and to engage in Hyrum's classic experimentation. I think the verdict was that one needs a complete gas mask and body suit.
This was the other night as storm came over one side and sun opened up and set on the other

Fail? or success?
I tried editing her makeup to match an ad I saw on Ulta.com. I super love the eyes but I'm not sure about the lips.
She definitely looks dramatic, and unlike herself.
Pinkie had a date with her "mom" at Tampere central this morning. I went with her. They were going to meet at market hall doorway, but something quite dramatic happened. There was a serious fire in building just next to market hall. Fire has started from McDonalds restaurant deep fryer, and fire was loose on the attic... I don't know what really has happened, because McDonalds is downstairs... City central was full of fire trucks, police cars and firemen... No one was hurt, but when I write this, fire is still on loose, and firemen are really fighting to get control over it.
Pinkie looked quite serious, and wanted to be photographed with flowers. She was so happy when she met her "mom", she just jumped to her hands and wanted to leave central fast...
Oh, I just read the news: through the ventilation system...
Ps. it took whole day but fire is under control now.
