A submission to Sliders Sunday, where over-processing is encouraged. A walker on Sydney's Manly Beach, on a morning whose frama is enhanced by Photoshopping!

A dramatic arch, standing on a low sandbank, possibly an island near the tidal mouth of the

River Rother, is all that is left of the church.Midley is one of three churches on Walland

Marsh; the others are Brookland and Fairfield.Following the Black Death, the farmlands, which could no longer be worked as arable, were given over to highly profitable sheep rearing.

Much of the land around Midley Church was transferred around 1440 by Archbishop of Canterbury Henry Chichele to All Souls College, Oxford, for whom it was a source of rent incomes. All Souls also had lands around Hope All Saints. Churches without congregations fell into disuse, although the clergy continued to collect their parish tithes from the local farmers. Midley – the ‘ey’ ending means island. Location: Take the Old Romney road out of Lydd to just before Swamp Crossing Farm, where on sharp bend to the right there is a stile and a path across a stony and sandy field, to the Railway Line, built in the hope of holiday trade and troop movements, but now only used to carry nuclear waste from Dungeness

power-station to Sellafield.

There where some severe thunderstorms north of here. All that we saw were some dramatic, pretty clouds.

After my last afternoon off with all that snow, I thought it would be nice to have a drive out and visit the Ironbridge Gorge and take a picture of the world famous bridge...

Cuando se avecina la tormenta es mejor no andar por estos lugares, jejeje.

Al final nos mojamos!

As something new, I'm showing the original of my photos on my blog www.caughtinpixels.com and tries to explain what I have done with my photo. This is something I will file under Before and After. I start out with one, that I have really worked hard and don't know if I went over the edge and over processed it, maybe you can tell me? The sky was dramatic and had wonderful colors, but I have really extracted them quite brutally, but I do like the result. I think it's nice.

A model and a museum volunteer strike a dramatic pose on the foot board of former CN H-6-g class 4-6-0 #1392. Model train manufacturer Rapido Trains has just announced production of a series of HO scale versions of the CN Ten Wheelers, with 1392 being one of them. A portion of the model sales will be donated to the Alberta Railway Museum outside of Edmonton, which is the home for the 1392. Although small and non profit, the museum has a dedicated team of volunteers that ensure the collection of CN and Northern Alberta Railway equipment is preserved for future generations to enjoy.

I find that gratitude wells up on evening displays like this. I do not take for granted the wonderful amazing gift of sight to take this in.
