Too bad we couldn’t stay
We’re on our way
So get on board the train
Straight on down the drain
Just north of Shap village, 20905 and 20901 top & tail 6J09, the drain cleaning train, working on the down line between Shap Village and Harrison’s Quarry on Sat 25th May 2024.
The train had worked north from Oxenholme sidings in the early hours of the morning and would spend the day going backwards and forwards on the down line, undertaking drain clearance duties. It was operating under a line closure possession notice and would spend the remainder of the bank holiday weekend in the area.
This is a collage I made of my new altered art assemblage I made called: Bella Luna, The Easter Mermaid!
This piece was made with a variety of found items, a wooden doll closet, two types of moss, sequins, rhinestones, a real egg(drained, cleaned and hand cracked, painted, and enhanced), vintage images, watercolor and glitter mermaid fin, princess/pixie/wizard type hat-handmade, and other various oddities. Enjoy!

Today's story and sketch "by me" you see the Sundown Superman Super Snake Drain Unclogger
B&R Metro Pick Up, on an emergency drain cleaning service call here at Porky's,
(a very famous apple wood smoked pull pork sandwich shop here in Stockton).
And you see Spagg Gofish is here to turn loose the Super Drain Snakes into Porky's Sewer
Pipes, We should explain here the Super Snakes are real "Flatty Snakes" from
the Cestody Crater on the planet "Coenuri Two", these snakes thrive in a good clog, and
get excited as soon as they can smell sewer gas. The Super Snakes were brought to Earth
many years ago by Rescue Randy when he was the owner of the Moon Pie Pizza shop in Santa
Barbara. The Moon Pie Pizza Shop was old and the drains very inadequate for the
busiest pizza shop in California. One Day (June 15 1965) during the evening rush hour
there was the worst clog in the little shops history. Randy called the "SRC" Sewer Rotto
Cleaner companies emergency number and the technician told Randy he needed to tell the
property owner she needed to replace the sewer pipes and it would take two to three
months to do the work. At first Randy considered the idea, but he did not want to talk
to or see the property owner Beranda Kagler, a onetime girlfriend many years ago, who
would try anything to date Randy again. Which was something Randy was not considering,
so he flew off that night to Cienuri two, where he had heard the story of
the Flatty Snakes, he purchased a few from his friend Larry the Snake Monger, returned
to the shop that night put a couple of the snakes in a drain, that was the night the
magic began, the snakes ate there way through the clogs and by morning the drains were
totally clean and cleared.
Randy saw the great business potential and that was night Randy Started the "Sundown
Superman", Super Snake Drain Unclogger company.

deglerwaste.com/septic-ridgeland/ If you have a septic tank, it can be difficult to know when you need to have it serviced. In the following section, you will find out how to spot signs of trouble with your septic system as well as how to properly maintain it.
The span groaned under weather and weight. Night crews had left it slick, rainwater pooling in seams that should’ve drained clean. I was alone this shift—Tamsin Vale somewhere deeper in the maze, trusting me to hear what the steel would say.
I crouched, chalk ready. The anchor should’ve sung low and solid when I leaned on it. Instead it rasped, dry as teeth ground together. Wrong.
I scraped back the plate and saw it: the bolt wasn’t worn, it was cut. Edges filed smooth to look like age. Fresh scoring glittered under the lamplight. Someone had prepped this span to fail, and soon.
My stomach knotted. This wasn’t mischief. This was a blade pressed to the city’s throat.
I pulled chalk from my belt, hand shaking as I slashed the mark—my mark—across the beam. Not the clean sign that said all good, but the cross-cut that warned of danger. A span marked like this meant crews would come running, and if they didn’t, the city might fall. A bright, firm warning. Chalk didn’t lie, and it didn’t glitch. In Sky Port Bury, once a line was drawn, it was as good as sworn.
The shadows below shifted. Movement. Too much, too close. Then a voice hissed up through the girders:
“That’s him. Ravenwood’s leash-boy.”
I froze, knuckles white on the chalk. Figures slid out from under the lift platforms, faces half-lit by rain lamps. Tools glinted in their hands—not wrenches, cutters.
The old edgerunner in me wanted to bolt, vanish into the storm, find another edge to claim. But Vale’s voice pressed against my skull: So long as you stand by it.
I stood.
“Span’s logged,” I called down, louder than I felt. My voice carried, clear as the chalk slash behind me. “Any tamper goes straight to Ravenwood.”
A mutter rippled through the shadows. One spat onto the steel. Another lifted his arc cutter like a threat. But none of them climbed. Not yet.
I backed off the beam slow, rain slick under my boots, every step a dare. When I reached solid decking, I slammed the alarm rod three times. Iron answered iron, echoing down the port like a bell.
Minutes later, Tamsin Vale appeared, stormcoat flaring, eyes narrowing at the chalk line and the shadows slinking back into the dark.
“You held,” said Vale. Not praise, not comfort—just fact.
I nodded, heart still hammering.
She studied the cut bolt, then me. “Message will go up.” Tamsin’s voice thinned, the way it did when she spoke Vivienne’s words, not her own. “Any tamper, any fracture, any whisper—send it to the Ravenwood.”
I looked out over the dripping city, chalk dust still on my fingers. I’d thought the edges were mine. Tonight I understood: I was theirs.

Clogged drains are part of our lives as homeowners. At one point, you’ll discover a blocked toilet. You’ll learn that water won’t drain in your kitchen sink. And in some cases, you’ll be surprised to find out that your washer or garbage disposal won’t function properly at all. Don’t worry. Unclog...
