Dragonfly lovers, its amust to visit India. Search in the busiest cities and you are sure to get a handful of them. Get into some place with a little bit of greenery and your camera space will run out, unless you have a 10GB SD Card. This individual was shot near my house in Kerala, India.

I had a great day today at Patuxent Research Refuge in Central Maryland. I added the 110th dragonfly/damselfly species for the Refuge after finding a cast skin of a Rapids Clubtail (Gomphus quadricolor). Patuxent Research Refuge boasts the highest diversity of dragonflies and damselflies of any U.S. Fish & Wildlife Refuge in the country. It is a joy to visit if you are into these wonderful insects. "Dragonfly" bead embroidered necklace.

I made this pretty necklace to celebrate FINALLY getting a slot in Etsy's main showcase (finding an open slot is a little like spotting a Sasquatch). I surrounded a vintage Czech glass dragonfly button with a lacy edge of seed beads, and dangled a sparkly Swarovski crystal teardrop from the bottom of the pendant. I used Swarovski crystals and freshwater pearls in purple and champagne for the necklace. A gorgeous, vintage-look piece, perfect for dragonfly lovers!
