Although the days sped by me faster than I could keep track of them, this week was a particularly good week. I wanted to share a particular conversation I had with a mother who came into PacSun with her son that warmed my heart. After asking me a question about the current promotions, she asked me about my cross necklace (smaller and more delicate than the one in my week 12 photo) and what it meant to me. So I told her it meant everything. She smiled and said that she was happy to hear it. As she was leaving the store, she asked me where I went to church in town and so I told her, to which she responded, "I knew it." She went on to tell me that the women's pro-life organization she volunteers for works directly with FBCJAX and that my church had just recently raised and donated thousands of dollars to the organization. She was so appreciative of it that she actually thanked me, although I didn't have anything to do with it directly. But it blew me away that, "she knew," I went to FBCJAX. She saw my light when I didn't even realize it was shining. It really made me think about how many people I could touch with just a smile. Moments like those, when you connect with a complete stranger in a spiritual way, are what makes life a little easier to get through. Sometimes, God's beauty is very apparent, like in the flowers in my photo for this week. But other times, you can find God's beauty in a kind and understanding smile from a stranger. His grace is so overwhelming.
