FULL DOCUMENTATION:

Lathe of Dreams: Touching the Face of iPod… (aka “Behold the iGod Touch!”)

NOTE: No sacrilege is meant by the title, it was only the first thing to pop in my head at 1:30am last night as I was rebuilding my Apple 32GB iPod Touch with Linux (Pwnage Tool 2.0.1) and iPhone 2.0.

With 4GB on the root partition and 28GB for music, videos, and apps, it truly is a beast of a touchscreen iPod. With gcc, iPhoneOS toolchains, the iPhone SDK, python, and source, much of what I had running on my Nokia N810 is now running (and better!) on my iPod Touch! ...It truly is one godly iPod Touch!

In case you're curious, I am running Universalis and the Roman Catholic Calendar on my new iPod Touch. =) ...I'm not a total heathen nor do intend to be sacrilegous, I just thought it to be one very cool name (with pun intended).

I know, more parasol shots! :) I have been trying to find the perfect one for ages and finally got a hold of one from an antique store in Guildford, which used to be the old theatre.

Frame and a whole lot of other freebies from here

Sorry haven't been around much lately to comment on your streams... Been super busy with work. In fact, I have a presentation coming up this Monday and I haven't really started preparing for it yet (you know, procrastination is my best quality =)

Have a fantastic weekend and I'll see you next week!

If this looks familiar, it is because this is inspired by .dale.'s latest series of photos that uses an action called "Urban Acid" to create the color effect, and then cropped to a square, with borders.

It's just too lovely and irresistible not to copy. Sorry .dale. I promise I wont do this too often. :)

Tiny gem to brighten our dark northern winter days!

View on black background.

Not yet mastered the instructions (or knobs n buttons) on new digital camera (see the pale original photo, below, which didn't do the wee flower justice), hence the first experiment with Urban Acid Photoshop action, to brighten the colors... get the sunspecs ready, I have a feeling this will be fun!!! ;-)

See below for this wee thrift flower in other guises.

Editing: Photoshop.

Urban Acid Photoshop action (free download - with no nasty cookies!) from:

atncentral.com/download.htm (Urban Acid appears halfway down the page)

See the Urban Acid Group on Flickr, for further information on its use.

Thanks to my inspiration: Words of Peace.

Long, long ago, when I drank that ale I used to drink, I took a self-portrait, which I then processed with an acid-wash action.

I loved that action, but it disappeared from my action sets, my downloads, my computer entirely. I longed for it. Ached, even.

Looking through my archives, I found that selfie and the link to Urban Acid, which I reinstalled. You can get this one and lots of others at that site.

Enjoy!
