If you'd like to see what Georgia looks like now - check out the two videos of the Tiger's by the lake below. Bill - if you see this - the videos show the reservoir @ Hickory Log.

Must have been 2 dozen swallowtails puddling when we walked up. But a dog swooped in ahead of us and went right to them - scattering them into the air. Frustrating but it was actually a magical moment watching them all fly! Many returned eventually. This is the lake where I also found a teneral Spangled skimmer and Calico pennant.

Maintaining social distance, a Cormorant and Great Blue Heron witness the day's first light emerge on a misty morning at Northside Park in Wheaton. Thanks for viewing! Amidst the darkness of hate, distrust and inequity that separates our society, may the enlightenment of love, peace and justice shine ever bright 🙏

Light gives of itself freely, filling all available space. It does not seek anything in return; it asks not whether you are friend or foe. It gives of itself and is not thereby diminished. ~Michael Strassfeld

Or maybe triple vision...my eyes, the camera and my dog's vision....stopped in snow traffic, going nowhere and playing with my camera.

The real voyage of discovery consists of not in seeking new landscapes but in having new eyes.

It was glorious in the Georgia mountains yesterday - one of our favorite ponds in Blue Ridge/Fannin County. Do you see the dead snag? We walked the pond & creek, ate trout at a creek-side restaurant, and of course got fresh apples at Mercier Orchard. The parking lots were full of Florida tags ;-)

Avant d'être récolté, le lin doit sécher à même le champ durant 25 à 80 jours, selon la météo. C'est la technique dite du "rouissage". // Before harvest, linen has to be dried straight on the field, during 25/80 days according to weather conditions. It is a technique called "retting".

funny how this mind works lol .. i have a fondness for a very long time now, for the smallest blossoms out there although they usually happen to be aggressively invasive

(Nobody wants these ^ little clovers in their garden)

So it's a double vision of a different sort But i could not weed out the tune, lol, so here it is

wishing you a happy (MinimalMondayMood)

Nightime at the yard.

The drawing itself looks brighter. I have to change something with my scanner. The nose is supposed to be red.

Das Museum ist nicht sichtbar. Aber das Gerücht hält sich hartnäckig, es hätte ein echt gutes Spiegelbild.

Very rare in Georgia because this is a Northern species - much more common in Northern states. But here we have to drive to one of the highest ponds in Georgia to shoot them. They are found here in only 2 mountain counties. We were early (photo'd them once before on June 7) - but one male was at the pond and posed for me nicely. You can't miss the male's unique golden yellow cerci! They like to perch facing the water so it's hard to get a shot of their pretty eyes - the wind rotated his leafy perch a bit so I could get this shot. Lots of fun and a bluebird-skies day at the top of NW Georgia!

This is a Short Eared Owl Cat and i drove to dublin to see it, the Owl is a Wild bird and has taken up residence in Ashbourne in Dublin just beside a Rugby Pitch and every evening from about 4pm onwards it hunts for food somtimes joined by its mate. The was photo taken at about 150 metres away it was a great sight i must say and well worth the trip!

Taken on the way home from work I just had to stop the car and get the shot...

Double vision - Total stillness across Lochan na h-Achlaise sees a snow topped Black Mount in mirror perfect reflection on the waters of the lochan. Shifting sunlight breaking through the clouds paints a wonderful scene of constantly changing dappled light striking the Black Mount. Nature's light play and magic at its best.
