trail follows some old doubletrack. drainage is blocked and road is eroding out. My pack is sitting in the inner scarp of a slip.
Q016 headed East with CSXT #3298 leaves the Keystone Subdivision Low Grade (track 2) onto the Keystone Subdivision (track 1). Single track continues east until just past the daylighted Pinkerton Tunnel where it will go back to doubletrack.
This was on the Toyon trail, as I was heading back down the mountain.
Which, unlike accusations lodged by hikers and others on the mountain of the general class of people riding mountain bikes, I did at a reasonable and safe pace, giving people plenty of warning that a cyclist was behind them.
I was reminded of how much I like having a bike that can go off road.
