Mon07Sep2004Food - Supper at Double Double - 6

Ever tried making an In-N-Out burger at home? Read the blog: www.averagebetty.com/blog/average-betty-burger-blog-in-n-...

French fries to the left and a Double Double on the right. I enjoy In-N-Out but am not crazy for it. However, I didn't really eat dinner the night before and relished the long walk down here, so In-N-Out it was on this day. I really wanted a milkshake but man, those things have way too many calories so it was just the fries and the hamburger.

Also, McDonald's fries taste better but that's probably because they are chocked full of (delicious) chemicals.

Awesome day. Tastes like Kopp's, which is definitely a good thing. 5 double-doubles, animal style, with fries and drinks. Would totally go back.

This was the drive thru sign to the In N Out Burger on Sahara Blvd in Las Vegas. This was our last visit. The last bite was so good!

Fried mustard on the patty, grilled onions, thousand island sauce. With the cheese disgustingly oozing out the side. Mmm.

FYI: Apparently if you want to order both the burger and the fries animal style, you can order it: "Double double animal style combo easy." I haven't tried this personally, but there you go.

Deconstructed In-N-Out Double-Double, Animal Style, as described here.

On Friday, June 23, 2017, Mike and I did a Home Depot run to pick up some paint and other items for our new house. While we were out, we decided to stop at In-N-Out Burger (4515 Airport Blvd.) for dinner. Mike ordered the ''Double-Double'' burger ''animal style'' (which means grilled onions, extra pickles, and extra sauce) and an order of fries, while I ordered off their ''secret menu'': a grilled cheese sandwich (with fresh lettuce, tomato, pickles, and sauce) with a side of cheese fries.

Edit: Replaced with a less over-exposed version just for Julio. (It did suck.)

One of my favorites for sure, came out great for a newbie!

The privately held, non-franchised burger chain is famous for placing Bible references on their paper containers. Burger wrappers, cups, french fry holders, keychains and milkshake cups all have individually assigned Bible verse references printed on them. The flagship "Double Double Burger" wrapper has its own separate verse, not shared with any other burger.

Palm trees at In-N-Out locations are sometimes planted to cross each other and form an "X." But not this time.

Camp Day - the one day a year when every penny raised from coffee sales at participating Tim Hortons stores across Canada and the United States will be donated to the Tim Hortons Children's Foundation.

Living on the East Coast, I dream about this sometimes. Seriously.
