Hobart is the capital and most populous city of the Australian island state of Tasmania. Direct nadat Europorte met 10 minuten vervroeging te Sassegnies gepasseerd was, werd meteen de auto in gesprongen om zo snel mogelijk in Berlaimont te geraken. Vanuit Lille was namelijk een TER onderweg welke zou moeten rijden met een BB22000, beter bekend als de welbekende Nèz-Cassé. Het betrof een BB22000 in de Nord-Pas de Calais kleurstelling met de bijbehorende VR2n dubbeldijksrijtuigen welke van dezelfde kleurstelling zijn voorzien. Normaal gesproken zijn deze treinen de hele dag te zien op de verbinding tussen Lille-Flandres en Maubeuge, maar door werken vallen overdag bijna alle ritten uit waardoor dit nagenoeg de enige rit met Nèz-Cassé is die je goed voor de zon kunt fotograferen. We hadden via google maps en een cabinerit een mogelijke stek gevonden net buiten Berlaimont, echter stonden er wel een paar bosjes eng dichtbij het spoor dus het was überhaupt te hopen dat de stek begaanbaar was.
Na iets meer dan vijf minuten rijden waren we dan aan de oost-west verbinding in het noorden van Frankrijk beland en werden we positief verrast toen we zagen dat de stek zowaar volledig was vrij gesnoeid. Zelfs de bosjes die in eerste instantie voor mogelijke problemen konden gaan zorgen waren met de grond gelijk gemaakt. Wat resteerde waren nog enkel kleine stammetjes wat ooit flinke bosjes moesten voorstellen. Al snel werd er een goede positie ingenomen en vervolgens hoefden we niet lang te wachten totdat de overwegbellen begonnen te rinkelen. Als eerste was het de tegentrein, welke bestond uit een treinstel van de serie Z24500. Daarna bleef de overweg gesloten en was het getoeter van de Nèz-Cassé in de verte al te horen, welke enkele seconden later aan de horizon verscheen.
Het is 8:30 als de SNCF 22284 met TER K60 (841805) te Berlaimont passeert onderweg vanuit Lille-Flandres naar Maubeuge. Een redelijke zeldzaamheid was de graffiti op de rijtuigen en zelfs op de locomotief. De tags op de locomotief waren gelukkig redelijk simpel te verwijderen, maar de overige kunstwerken waren te lastig om weg te halen. Vanuit Berlaimont reden we vervolgens weer terug naar Sassegnies om daar de TER met Corail vanuit Paris-Nord naar Maubeuge vast te leggen, word dus weer vervolgd ;)
NS 1748 maakt met DD-AR-stam 7335 een stop op het station van Deventer, onderweg als Sprinter van Apeldoorn naar Enschede.

This is an exception, because the previous photos from the set showed different types of the locomotives each. And here the SU45 is repeated, so let the exception be doubled and it is analog photography. Well, actually triple - because doubledecker has the livery called "scrambled eggs", unlike the previous pictures.

To będzie wyjątek, bowiem poprzednie fotki z setu przerdstawiały każde inny typ lokomotywy, a tu SU45 się powtarza, więc zrobimy podwójny wyjątek i będzie analog. No, potrójny - bo "bipa" w wersji "jajecznica".

LNN 353 is a 1950 low bridge Duple bodied Daimler CVD6 which entered service with W Gash & Sons of Elston near Newark in August 1950 as DD (Double-Decker) 7.
Originally ordered by Nottingham coach operator Skills, DD7 had registration mark LTO 30 reserved for it but it was subsequently registered LNN 353. It was driven in service, mainly on school duties and private hires from 1969 until its December 1977 withdrawal; the bus having travelled almost 600,000 miles in 27 years.
Seen at the East Midlands Vintage Car Club meet this summer.

SP32-206 with two doubledecker sets as a special train called "Transcassubia" from Chojnice to Hel, is entering Gdynia Wielki Kack station. The annual reunion of the Cassubians (or Kashubians) has been organized since the unification of the Cassubian lands into one voivodship, which took place after the administration reform in January 1999. The first Cassubian Convention took place in 1999 in Chojnice, and town Hel was chosen as the place of the second convention. A special train is a must at every convention. In previous years the train was hauled by a steam locomotive. Now it's only diesel, but the train is decorated with Kashubian and voivodship symbols as every year. June 26, 2010.

SP32-206 z dwoma "bipami" jako pociąg specjalny "Transcassubia" relacji Chojnice - Hel, wjeżdża do stacji Gdynia Wielki Kack. Coroczny zjazd Kaszubów organizowany jest od czasu zjednoczenia ziem kaszubskich w jednym województwie, co nastąpiło po reformie samorządowej 1999 roku. Pierwszy Zjazd Kaszubów odbył się w 1999 roku w Chojnicach, a na miejsce drugiego zjazdu wybrano Hel. Jako jedną z atrakcji i dowozówkę zjazdową uruchomiono parę pociągów, prowadzonych przystrojoną w kaszubskie i wojewódzkie symbole lokomotywę. 26 czerwca 2010 roku.

Sewards of Dalwood ran their Axminster to Exeter service with this former London Transport DMS (OUC 35R for a while in the mid-1980s, seen here laying over in Exeter Coach Station on 16 August 1984.
Alongside is Southern National 3400 which has somehow got itself onto the X30 from Yeovil. The dark green livery relates to the X35 Portland - Weymouth - Bournemouth 'Southern Coastlink' service.
This now seems to be the last Hunters Leyland Olympian now running. This is one of the former Isle of Man vehicles used by Geoff Amos previously. G729 TBD could still be seen int he yard until recently, but assume it has now gone for scrap.
Having just returned from a trip to Scotland, now processing photos. The iconic red telephone 'box' and red double decker bus in the foreground, with the Edinburgh Castle lording over the scene.
WFM801K was the first Leyland National delivered to Crosville in 1972. Following a spell as an airside bus at Gatwick, it was one of a batch bought by GM Buses South in the early 1990s. Now restored to it's former glory in Keighley Bus Museum, next to Keighley Corporation coloured Atlantean WJY758.

In the water, you can see a turtle that swam up and 'conversed' with the 'bottom' turtle for a moment or 2. You could tell that they were communicating, and I had to wonder how---- and what they were saying...
I figured that the turtle in the water wanted to join the stack, and the bottom turtle told him it just wouldn't work this time... :)
(or maybe it was saying to dump the one on top and join him/her in a swim..... :)
The top turtle was actually 'dumped' a few minutes later....

THX 646S was numerically the last of London Transport's batch of DMS class Daimler/Leyland Fleetlines and was originally DM2646. It's now preserved by Ensign as seen here at Gravesend. It has a Leyland Chassis and a Park Royal body.
Shenanigans in Shangan, 10 years ago, a look back at former Dublin Bus route 221, perhaps the shortest ever route & shortest ever operating route.
Introduced in Ballymun to compensate connections at Silloge & Shangan estates following the merger of routes 13 & 51 to a new super cross city route which changed routing.
Short hop route 221, was operated by Harristown Garage, usually an ALX400 class every 30 minutes on a Monday to Saturday timetable from 10.00 to 14.30 hrs, launching 3rd October 2011 & finishing up on 5th May 2012 ( above ).
