I dragged my friend Victor down the chute, a double-black steep slope at the Mt. Rose Ski Taoe ski resort. He is now chute-proof!

My boss took a photo of me after we skiied a run in a snowstorm. My goggles fogged so I was skiing with snow hitting my eyeballs. It was a good run.

Took this a week ago, at Brian Head Resort in Southern Utah. Wish I was back there riding and shooting with the boys again, instead of in my basement, in front of the computer. Gotta take care of business, though.

Jake came out to help guide some mountain visitors today and make sure everyone was safe as we were out before the mountain was officially open. Here he is making turns look easy in a steep tight chute.

Poured myself a scotch. Then I decided to get a photo of the line up. The only one I left out was "Swing". I couldn't find a way to fit that odd shaped bottle with the rest.

I did a lot of hurricane cleanup stuff today (well, technically yesterday, but I'm still up). We had some huge branches down in the back yard that I had to saw into pieces and drag out front before the cleanup crews start collecting debris on Tuesday. I wanted to get it done just in case they decided to get started on Saturday (they didn't).

I had a Junior to mod and all this, "Maybe we'll all be drowned!" stuff kinda slowed my roll a bit. I'm back on track, though. The stock Chinese pickups are about 5mm taller than a normal P.A.F. clone, so I'm making spacers for the legs. This one's getting an Artec Double Black, which is a (hot, 11k overwound) P.A.F. clone with period correct (stinky, smelly) butyrate bobbin and that crepe-looking paper around the windings and of course the windings are that purple-y #42 plain enamel wire that nobody in the States can source because the machine that applies the enamel farts toxic smoke and we no-likey that. I love these pickups. I have one in my own Junior.
