I needed a barcode scanner. I also had a Cuecat, from way back when they were giving these away...

 

So I decided to perform a little operation on it, as per the instructions on this site, to turn it into a regular commercial barcode scanner!

This is the memory - in the form of a t-shirt - from the days of the Dot Com Boom. I think I was lucky enough to work for one of those companies. Unfortunately I didn't get to experience all the benefits of IPO and all the options I had didn't materialize into money, but still I have a good memories and a t-shirt to prove it.
