DÖST Kope first time ride; on this dream machine!
NB: Conditions were the worst for cycling (rain and windy) if not for the electric motor I would have given up on the 12 mile peddle assisted ride.

This is my friend Andrew. He's in a band called fun. (Fueled by Ramen.) I tried to catch up with the guys in New York when I was on tour, but I had to catch a flight home just before they arrived at the venue. Fortunately they were in Orlando the following week. This is my second time meeting with Andrew (the first being my very first photo shoot ever, followed by my second photo shoot ever with fun.) and he's truly a delight. Definitely one of the nicest people I've ever met.
We were trying to go for something different for this shoot, as the style for his new solo record is much different from his previous, musical-styled concept album. So I decided to free-lens it and I made this.

Inspired by Ironsniper's lovely mini Castle Crashers and spurred on by Lego Junkie's recent large one.

Der Dost, häufig auch Oregano genannt, wird in der Heilkunde hauptsächlich als Tee verwendet, auch als als Gewürz auf der Pizza wird er verwendet.

The clear path of the silenced smokeboxes and driving wheels...catches my eye
1873 -- Michigan Lakeshore Railroad
1895 -- Cincinnati, Jackson & Mackinaw Railroad
1913 -- Michigan Central Railroad
The town that had two names (Doster & Brouard), saddled two counties and townships, was settled around 1837. It eventually became Doster. With the railroad going through, Doster began to take shape. A post office, hardware, grocery store and sawmill were built. Around 1896, George Julias Doster built Doster Lumber, which ran until 2000. Doster still has the church/schoolhouse, blacksmith shop, grocery store, two centennial farms and the elevator. Built in 1912, the Doster Elevator ran as the Doster Farm Bureau Exchange until 1945. Much of the original equipment is still in the elevator, which is nestled along the railroad bed. The railroad delivered grain, coal, farm equipment, livestock and lumber -- working in conjunction with the sawmill and lumber yard. Along with the freight train, there was a third rail electric train for passengers.

Man kann jedoch auch eine Tinktur ansetzen und als Hustentropfen oder gegen Menstruationsbeschwerden einsetzen.
Äusserlich kann man ihn gegen Wunden einsetzen, hier sind vor allem seine bakterientötenden Eigenschaften bekannt.
Für die äussere Anwendung eignet sich vor allem das ätherische Öl des Oreganos.
